Om stillingen

Ved Institutt for matematiske fag er det ledig inntil to stillinger som førstelektor i matematiske fag. Stillingene vil være knyttet til fagenhet forkurs & grunnutdanning ved instituttet.

Fagenheten forkurs & grunnutdanning er involvert i grunnundervisning i matematiske fag rettet mot de treårige bachelorstudiene og de femårige sivilingeniørstudiene ved NTNU. Undervisningstilbudene er i stadig utvikling, og stillingen gir store muligheter for å påvirke og styrke grunnutdanningstilbudet i tett samarbeid med andre.

Stillingene som førstelektor består av omtrent 60 % undervisning, 20 % forskning og 20% administrasjon.

Arbeidssted vil være Trondheim.

Arbeidsoppgaver

  • Undervisning i matematikk eller statistikk, med særlig fokus på våre serviceemner i forkurs-, ingeniør- og sivilingeniørutdanningene.
  • Bidra til utvikling av forkurs- og grunnutdanningstilbudet ved instituttet.
  • Bidra til administrative oppgaver relatert til instituttets undervisningsoppgaver.
  • Forskning innen matematiske fag.

Kvalifikasjonskrav

  • Du må kvalifisere for stilling som førstelektor innenfor matematiske fag  i henhold til krav gjengitt i § 3-4 i Forskrift til universitets- og høyskoleloven (universitets- og høyskoleforskriften).
  • Doktorgrad i matematiske fag (matematikk, statistikk eller matematikkdidaktikk). 
    • Kandidater med doktorgrad innen matematikkdidaktikk må ha mastergrad i matematikk eller statistikk. 
    • Kandidater som disputerer i løpet av 2026 kan også søke. Doktorgraden må være fullført før oppstart i stillingen.
  • God muntlig og skriftlig fremstillingsevne på norsk og engelsk. Undervisningen knyttet til stillingen vil være på norsk, slik at den som tilsettes må beherske et skandinavisk språk.
  • I tråd med NTNUs retningslinje for vitenskapelige stillinger, pkt. 4 må du dokumentere relevant grunnleggende kompetanse for undervisning og veiledning på universitet- og høgskolenivå:
    • Gjennomført eget program (minimum 200 timer)/relevante kurs og egen praktisk undervisning, og opparbeidet grunnleggende ferdigheter innen planlegging, gjennomføring, evaluering og utvikling av undervisning og veiledning (grunnleggende kompetanse for undervisning og veiledning på universitets- og høyskolenivå).
    • Dersom du ikke kan dokumentere dette, pålegges du å gjennomføre et godkjent kurs i universitetspedagogikk i løpet av to år etter ansettelse. NTNU tilbyr kvalifiserende kurs.

Ønskede kvalifikasjoner

  • Undervisningserfaring fra høyere utdanning og/eller videregående skole.
  • Kunnskap om beregningsorientert matematikk, inkludert programmering og implementeringer, samt erfaring med bruk av dette i undervisningssammenheng.
  • Erfaring med anvendelser av matematikk og formidling av disse i høyere utdanning.
  • Erfaring med utvikling av nye undervisningstilbud.

Personlige egenskaper

Vi tilbyr


Lønn og vilkår

I stillingen som førstelektor kode 1198 vil du normalt lønnes fra brutto kr 690 000 - 885 000 pr. år avhengig av kvalifikasjoner og ansiennitet. Fra lønnen trekkes 2 % lovfestet innskudd til Statens Pensjonskasse. 

Ansettelsen blir gjennomført etter prinsippene i statsansatteloven, og lovverk som regulerer eksport av kunnskap, teknologi og tjenester. Etter ansettelsen må du påregne at det kan skje endringer i arbeidsområdet.

Det er en forutsetning at du kan være til stede ved og tilgjengelig for institusjonen på daglig basis.

Ved vurdering av den best kvalifiserte legger vi vekt på personlig egnethet, din motivasjon for stillingen og dine pedagogiske evner og kvalifikasjoner. Vår vurdering vil bygge på dokumentert pedagogisk materiale, fremstillingsformer i de vitenskapelige arbeider, erfaring fra undervisning og veiledning, samt pedagogisk bakgrunn av annen art. Kvalitet og bredde vil bli vurdert.

Full-Stack Software Developer

You are a Full-Stack Software Developer who got bored with solving tasks just to make money to someone else, and now you want to do something useful for the world around you? Welcome on board then! Did you know that every year about 85 000 children are dying before the age of 5 only in Uganda? And many of them die from diseases we know how to prevent. They could survive if they just would be properly vaccinated. And the child vaccination in Uganda is free. So why then? There are several issues, actually. One of them is an absence of proper registration. Children are not vaccinated because the Government of Uganda doesn't know about their existence. They have registries, but these registries are big and heavy books with lots of pages, which makes any use of them very time consuming. Another one is an amount of administration Health Workers have. They need to fill in so many things for every child that they don't have enough time to speak to parents about the importance of vaccination. And the lack of vaccine stock management makes it impossible sometimes for a child to receive a vaccination even if the parents brought the child in time. Many solutions were created to tackle these issues. No one succeeded so far. The same registries are used in many countries from around year 1960, the same problems are there from one year to another. And we are here to change it, of course. And here is more, we have a proof that we can. Our product currently works in The Gambia, Kenya, Uganda and Afghanistan. In these countries, for the first time starting from the year 1960 the Governments agreed to replace these big old registry books with something different that we have created. We designed our product in a way it can work in clinics without electricity, Internet connection and governments are able to sustain it, saves 70% of administration time for health workers compared to the existing system, and still at the end you get reliable and complete data, automatically generated reports and performance indicators, which also can be used in the same conditions as the product itself. Some of our team members work remotely, but we want more technical people for our office.
