Project
The project “InForM: Inference, Forecasting, and Mitigation of Future Epidemics” (InForM) is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. Its goal is to develop and apply data science tools to strengthen epidemic preparedness. To reach this goal, the project seeks to hire an excellent PhD student to improve statistical methods used for epidemic forecasting (e.g. methods to sample and summarize ensembles of simulated epidemic trajectories).
The PhD will be supervised by PI Jonas L Juul, Assistant Professor in Data Science at the IT University of Copenhagen (see https://jonassjuul.github.io), and Vedran Sekara, Associate Professor in Data Science at the IT University of Copenhagen.
Main responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the advancement of groundbreaking research with crucial societal implications, in a highly dynamic and interdisciplinary environment,
- Coauthor scientific papers aimed at high-impact journals, participate in international conferences, and participate in advanced university classes to learn new skills,

The Project

One to improve statistical methods used for epidemic forecasting (e.g. methods to sample and summarize ensembles of simulated epidemic trajectories), and another to improve our understanding of the detailed spread of COVID-19 in Denmark during the pandemic (by studying large datasets of COVID-19 phylogenies in combination with Danish registry data.)

Mission :
Assurer l'aide aux utilisateurs et à la bonne gestion quotidienne de l'infrastructure informatique.
Tâches principales
Mission 1 : Helpdesk
- Dépannage informatique en tout genre aux utilisateurs finaux (hardware et software).
Mission 2 : Administrateur réseau informatique
- Création de profils utilisateurs,
- Installation et configuration du matériel hardware/software (pcs, imprimantes, logiciels),
- Gestion d'accès,
- Gestion des backups (vérification et suivi de l'amélioration de la gestion des backups),

Om NOA
Statens arbeidsmiljøinstitutt (STAMI) søker avdelingsdirektør for området Nasjonal overvåkning av arbeidsmiljø- og -helse (NOA).
STAMI har siden 2006 bygget opp det nasjonale overvåkningssystemet for arbeidsmiljø- og -helse i Norge, med formål å vise status, trender og utvikling på arbeidsmiljøområdet. Overvåkingssystemet er i dag fortsatt i rivende utvikling, og er blitt et solid vitenskapsbasert fundament for blant annet arbeidsmiljømyndighetenes og partene i arbeidslivets prioriteringer på arbeidsmiljøområdet, samt for politikkutvikling på feltet. NOAs primæroppgave er ikke forskning, men det benyttes avansert vitenskapelig metodikk i bl.a. analysearbeidet.
Området består av 15 svært kompetente medarbeidere med bred og tverrfaglig vitenskapelig kompetanse på arbeidsmiljøområdet. Av disse arbeider fem ved Enhet for systematiske kunnskapsoppsummeringer (ESKO), som er en del av NOA. I felleskap utarbeider vi et etterspurt og anvendbart nasjonalt faktagrunnlag på arbeidsmiljøfeltet.
Arbeidsoppgaver
Som avdelingsdirektør for NOA vil du blant annet:

Kvalifikasjoner
Kvalifikasjonskrav:
- Relevant doktorgrad og solid erfaring fra vitenskapelig arbeid, epidemiologisk forståelse, samt fordypning innen arbeidsmiljø- og -helsefeltet
- Kunnskap om norsk arbeidsliv, arbeidslivets organisering og partssamarbeidet
- Erfaring fra formidlingsarbeid, samt flytende skriftlig og muntlig fremstillingsevne på norsk
Ønskende kvalifikasjoner:
- Erfaring fra forvaltings- og myndighetsstøttende arbeid og forståelse for slikt arbeid opp mot politiske prosesser
- Relevant ledererfaring fra kunnskapsmiljøer
- Erfaring fra nasjonalt og internasjonalt nettverksarbeid
- Erfaring med digitaliseringsprosjekter og utvikling av tjenester
Personlige egenskaper
- Motivere medarbeidere gjennom å skape gode arbeidsmiljøforhold for høykompetente, autonome medarbeidere som skal arbeide mot felles mål
