Track Manager
You start each day by conducting a safety inspection of all karts and consulting with the mechanic to determine which karts require maintenance. You then discuss the daily schedule with the track staff and decide who will perform which tasks in consultation with the Planning Department. After that, you determine with the Planning Department how many colleagues will be deployed during the track's opening hours, both for the coming days (who) and for the coming weeks (how many), so that your colleagues know when they will be deployed.
Every 10 minutes we start a new heat. Most groups run 2 or 3 Heats, often with a (hot) meal afterwards. Maintaining the time-schedule is of utmost importance, decisive intervention in case of delays requires ultimate leadership. Heats can be halted by delays such as flat tires, damage to the karts after a collision, and cause a delay of several minutes. This while the hot meal is getting less hot in the meantime. Clear communication with the kitchen and bar colleagues is very important.
You will ensure that our guests adhere to all safety measures such as closed shoes and hairnets for long hair. The karts stranded during a heat due to driver error or a collision with damage will have to be taken off the track and replaced as soon as possible, you decide how and who does what.
