Your tasks and responsibilities - Conduct literature research on continuous ultrasonic welding, industrial robots and their interactions and support in the ongoing welding activities. - Analysis of requirements and preparation of specifications for the new welding end effector. - Redesign of the new end effector using CATIA and performing static and dynamic structural simulations to validate the design. - Iterative improvement of the structure and validation of the model under measured forces (static, dynamic, frictional, etc.) from the process. - Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer for the continued development of the system. Desired skills and qualifications - Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the area of mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, automation or manufacturing engineering, aerospace engineering or an equivalent field of study. - Knowledge in the field of electronics and sensors. - Experience with CAD software especially CATIA. - Experience with structural analysis (static and dynamic). - Ability to work independently and on your own responsibility. - High intrinsic motivation, teamwork and communication skills. - Language skills: Very good English and preferably good German skills.
