Solution Design & Technical Support - Lead the end-to-end design of pre-sales solutions for UPS supporting batteries, including battery selection, compatibility verification, BOM (Bill of Materials) compilation, technical parameter matching, and cost estimation. Ensure solutions are highly compatible with UPS systems and meet customized customer needs. - Provide comprehensive technical support to UPS OEM customers, assisting in the design of integrated solutions (including battery matching) and compilation of technical documents (e.g., product manuals, compatibility reports) to support customer bidding and win contracts. - Develop customized technical presentation plans for Hyperscaler and Colocation clients. Deliver product value propositions through technical seminars and on-site demonstrations to drive customer recognition and cooperation intentions. 1. Job description Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Mission Systems Equipment Design Responsible (d/f/m) Your Mission As Equipment Design Responsible, you will be the technical authority for airborne equipment throughout its entire lifecycle, for various weapon systems. You will transform operational and system-level needs into robust, certifiable equipment solutions, working closely with international suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams. You will ensure that equipment designs meet demanding performance, qualification, and certification requirements while supporting integration, testing and in-service operations. This role offers a unique combination of design responsibility, technical depth and direct influence on the successful delivery of advanced airborne capabilities. Managing equipment requirements from higher-level system architecture and customer specifications down to equipment-level allocation. - Technical management of suppliers of airborne equipment: technical evaluation, design and qualification follow up, milestones management, stages of involvement, validation and acceptance of deliverables, management of limitations and deviations, support to defect investigations and repairs, harmonization and control of supplier and program plans. - Review technical solutions, challenge design decisions when necessary, and support issue resolution during development and integration phases. - Ensure compliance with applicable aeronautical and contractual standards and certification requirements (e.g. DO-254) during the design and qualification, repair, obsolescence and re-design activities. - Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities with internal specialists (safety, EMC, environmental qualification, RM&T, Quality, ILS, Airworthiness,…). - Interface with customers, partner companies and certification authorities for technical matters related to equipment functionalities, design, qualification and problem resolution. - Monitoring and support of the subsequent Equipment Integration including Sub-system, system verification and flight tests. - Support requests concerning Equipment queries, in service occurrence reports and defect investigations. Your Profile: - (Master) Degree in electronics/electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent - At least 3-5 years of professional experience - Strong technical background in electronic equipment development: embedded electronics (Microcontrollers, FPGAs, ASICs,... ), mission computers, high-speed digital interfaces, video or data processing systems, real-time embedded architecture,... - Knowledge and practical expertise with airborne equipment: - Qualification and certification - Hardware development/design and verification (e.g. DO-254, ARP4754A, AMC 20-152A, DO-160, MIL-STD-810) - Software development (DO-178) is considered a plus - Ability to technically assess supplier solutions and support problem-solving activities during development - Experience in technical supplier management is a plus - Experience in requirements engineering and requirements management tools (DOORs) is a plus - Comfortable taking ownership and making technical decisions - Strong communication skills and ability to interact with suppliers, customers and authorities in an international environment - Teamplayer and comfortable in international and multidisciplinary engineering environment: demonstrated skills to work independently and in a collaboratively manner within an international team, including the ability to coordinate and influence people - Business-fluent English, German is a plus - Willingness to travel internationally to supplier facilities and customer sites when required ** #MYCYM** Not a 100% match?
