1 Scientist (f/m/d) for Designing, Testing and Qualifying Next Generation Aeronautical Batteries * You will support the development of next generation batteries for aeronautical applications, from cell selection, module and pack design, prototype assembly, testing and qualification. * Depending on your background, you will develop and test: (a) physics-based AI/ML methods for aeronautical battery design and validation, (b) numerical methods for battery state and safety prediction, and (c) high-voltage/high-power or lightweight battery prototypes, including structural and multifunctional energy storage systems. * You will interface with experienced scientists and engineers in the field of aerospace across Europe. * You will work closely with European Institutions and international partners from research organisations and industry on multi-annual large-scale collaborative projects. * You will build your own network, contribute to defining our strategic research direction, and prepare proposals for new projects with the support of your colleagues . * You will publish your results in high-ranking journals and will support other scientists in doing so. * You will supervise PhD and master's students. Missing information may result in rejection. * Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, including Simulink, C/C++, or similar languages are required. * Knowledge of the fundamentals of battery electrochemistry and understanding of battery modelling methodologies are highly valued. * Experience with state-of-the-art simulation tools (such as ANSYS, Modelica, or Dymola) are highly valued. * Experience in battery testing at cell, module, and pack level is considered an advantage. * Experience in industrial projects and/or European research programmes, such as Horizon Europe or Clean Aviation, including an understanding of the European aerospace research ecosystem, is an asset. * A high level of motivation to pursue a scientific or research-oriented career is required. 1 Junior Scientists (f/m/d) for 6G Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) * You will develop and validate numerical signal processing algorithms for mobile 5G/6G ISAC scenarios using simulations and measurements from an SDR testbed combining RF, fiber optic, and quantum sensing. * Depending on your background, you will conduct algorithm research and contribute to real-time experiments using SDR hardware and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS). * Together with experienced colleagues, you will engage in establishing a unique 6G distributed MIMO sensing testbed based on SDR technology using open-source tools such as GNU Radio, RFNoC and LabVIEW for real-time FPGA algorithm design operating from 0.4 - 20 GHz. * You will learn how to evaluate the results and prepare them for further studies. * You will publish your research results in international journals and present them at conferences. * You will accumulate experience in a research field, that has an enormous range of applications from construction, logistics, aviation and railways to agriculture, robotics and defense. * You will gain experience in a group of international scientists and build up your professional network within European wide research projects. Our cutting-edge technology enables efficient fast switching in quantum networks, br... 1 Quantum Photonic Engineer As a Quantum Photonic Engineer at Qraken Quantum, you will play a pivotal role in the design, assembly, and realization of our QLMs. You will bridge the gap between quantum optics and engineering, working directly with the co-founders to take our prototypes into the field. Key Responsibilities * Quantum Optics System Development: Partake in technical efforts on building, characterising, and refining our QLM architecture. This includes work on multi-reflection delay lines, collimation and coupling optics, electrooptic devices, and integration of our UQOS and QLM. * Quantum Characterization: Run entangled photon experiments to validate our QLM, collect, analyze, and present data for white papers, publications and investor pitches. * Lab Automation: Write custom scripts to automate experimental data collection, optical alignment monitoring, and hardware control. * System Design: Contribute to our long-term mission by exploring and implementing tests of next generation use cases. Required Qualifications & Skills * Education: A PhD or Master's degree in quantum optics, experimental physics, photonics, or a closely related field. * Optical Alignment Expertise: Hands-on experience aligning complex optical systems. * Quantum Hardware Experience: Previous work with photonic quantum experiments, including single-photon detectors (SPADs/SNSPDs), time-taggers, and photon sources. * Programming Skills: Solid coding experience (preferably in Python) for data analysis, instrument interfacing, or hardware control. Additional Assets * Experience working with ultrafast pulsed lasers. * Familiarity with electro-optics, high-voltage RF drivers, or free-space modulators. * Experience with optical simulations. The PhD candidate will conduct research in AI method development for the design of novel RNA molecules with application in advanced therapeutic modalities. Work on an interdisciplinary topic at the intersection of machine learning / AI and synthetic biology Learn the mathematics and algorithms of state-of-the-art RNA language models Learn the mathematics and algorithms of state-of-the-art diffusion models for generation of new RNA and protein molecules Advance AI methods and models for the design of novel RNA molecules that get conditionally activated upon binding of specific diagnostic RNA molecules Find novel ways to Incorporate structure and sequence information in RNA AI-models. Build novel AI models for quantitative functional prediction of RNA designs Work in close collaboration with experimentalists that conduct high-throughput assays for the characterization of these novel RNA molecules An excellent university science degree (Master’s/Diploma) in computer science, electrical engineering, physics or mathematics.
