The position

A full-time position as Associate Professor / Professor in Sport Nutrition, with a particular focus on performance nutrition, is available at the Department of Physical Performance at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (NIH) from December 2026 or soon thereafter. 

The position is closely linked to the establishment of a new Master program in Sport Nutrition starting in August 2026, where the successful candidate is expected to play a central role in program development, teaching, and supervision.

The Department of Physical Performance has a long history of basic and applied research, focusing on biological effects of physical training from molecule to integrated physiology. 

The research spans fields such as:

• exercise physiology
• biomechanics
• nutrition
• and sport-specific performance

often conducted in close collaboration with national and international sport federations and industry partners. 

Competence requirements

The department is seeking a highly qualified and motivated candidate to contribute to teaching, research, and academic leadership within sport nutrition, particularly in relation to nutrition for performance, training adaptation, and athlete health.

The successful candidate is expected to have a strong international research profile and documented expertise in areas such as:

• Applied sport nutrition for athletic performance, including nutrition strategies for training, competition, and recovery
• Energy availability, metabolism, and body composition in athletes
• Dietary assessment methods and nutritional interventions in sport settings
• Physiological and/or molecular responses to nutrition in relation to performance and training adaptations
• Collaboration with athletes, teams, or sport federations in applied performance contexts

Experience with advanced methodologies (e.g., metabolic measurements, biomarker analysis, body composition techniques such as DXA, or dietary tracking technologies) will be considered an advantage. Strong competence in statistical analysis and data interpretation is required.

The candidate must document:

• A strong record of high-quality scientific publications
• Experience in teaching and supervision at bachelor’s, master’s, and preferably PhD level
• Experience in research collaboration, including interdisciplinary work and external partnerships

The successful applicant is expected to:

• Play a central role in the development of the sports nutrition research field at the institution
• Contribute actively to interdisciplinary collaboration within the department
• Participate in teaching and course development at undergraduate and graduate levels
• Supervise bachelor, master, and PhD students
• Have a PhD (or equivalent) in sport nutrition, human nutrition, exercise physiology, or a closely related field is required.

For appointment as Professor, additional emphasis will be placed on:

• Extensive academic leadership and supervision experience
• A substantial and sustained record of high-impact research
• Proven ability to attract external research funding
• International recognition within the field

A prerequisite for permanent employment is documented basic pedagogical competence (university teaching certification). Applicants who do not meet this requirement at the time of hiring must obtain it within two years.

• Teaching experience and supervision at all levels
• Experience with external collaboration and applied sport contexts

Proficiency in oral and written English is required. Applicants who do not speak a Scandinavian language must acquire Norwegian language skills at level B2 within three years.

This position is part of the Strategic Research Program “Tire as a sensor” in the joint project with Goodyear SA and explores how to transform mechanical energy from tires to a useful electrical energy, which can power tire sensors. The approach used for energy harvesting is the piezoelectric effect. Materials which show piezoelectric properties transform strain variation into electrical charge. These materials can be ceramics or polymers. The material chosen in this study is commercial PZT ceramics. To efficiently use the available mechanical energy in tires and induce strain in the piezoelectric material, it is essential to develop an adapted harvester's design, the transducer. In addition, harvester's signal conditioning plays an important role. To harvest enough electrical energy, all three points: material properties, harvester design and signal conditioning, have to be addressed. This Postdoc position is mainly focused on development of energy harvester based on ceramics. Several challenges will be addressed to achieve targeted values of power from tires: · Investigation of geometries for an efficient transfer of strain from the tire into the ceramic. • Forberedelse og produksjon av mat i henhold til våre standarer.

• Bidra til effektiv drift av kjøkkenet.

• Samarbeide tett med kjøkkensjef og øvrig personale

Kvalifikasjoner:

• Erfaring fra a la carte kjøkken, gjerne som produksjonskokk

• Fagbrev eller relevant grunnleggende kunnskap/erfaring i kokkefaget.

• Evne til å jobbe selvstendig og strukturert

• God forståelse for råvarer og kvalitet

ANNO has been a success in Ålesund since its opening in February 2011. Among other things, pizza from a wood-fired stone oven is a speciality. Anno has a rich a la carte menu, built on ideas from French cuisine, where methods, taste and consistency are in focus. There is a high paced and good working environment at the workplace. About the team and the role:

11 month fixed term contract

The People Experience team sits within eBay’s People Team and is the main point of contact for all employees across EMEA on people-related matters. The team supports the full employee lifecycle and provides jurisdictional expertise across 13 countries, supporting around 3,000 employees.

This role is primarily aligned to the Tise employee population in Norway, Denmark, and Finland, with scope to expand as Tise grows across Europe and into other international markets such as Australia. You will provide onsite, first-line people and employee relations support, liaising with People Managers, People Business Partners, and the specialist teams. The role also contributes to broader EMEA People projects and programs as needed.

What you will accomplish:

• Provide timely, onsite Tier 1 employee relations support to employees, resolving issues early and managing cases in line with local employment law and company policy.
• Triage and assess employee relations matters, partnering with specialist Employee Relations colleagues and raising more complex cases while providing local and onsite context.
• Activate and support eBay People policies, programs, and processes across the employee lifecycle, including performance reviews and goal setting.
• Coach and mentor People Managers on employment legislation, compliance, and effective people management practices.
• Support recruitment and onboarding activities, including CV screening, interviewing, and contract documentation.
• Contribute to training needs analysis and support the development and roll-out of learning programs in partnership with the Talent team.
• Promote and support cultural programs and initiatives, working with leaders to translate culture goals into practical actions across the business.

What you will bring:

• Significant experience working as an HR Generalist, with hands-on responsibility for employee relations and people operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies, and standard procedures, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Ability to provide clear, practical guidance to managers and employees with a customer-focused and inclusive approach.
• Proven skills in coaching, mentoring, and partnership across multiple teams and functions.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources.
• Willingness to travel to other eBay locations as required.

Om arbeidsgiveren:

Nissedal Frivilligsentral blei stifta i 2016, og har ein dagleg leiar. Frå 2027 skal vi starte ein tilleggssentral som heiter Nissedal Frivilligsentral AKTIV, i den forbindelse lyser vi ut eit 50% vikariat som kan føre til fast tilsetjing og eit vikariat på 50% i to år.Det er ynskjeleg med 100% stilling, men det vil og vere mogleg med ei oppdeling.

Frivilligsentralen held til i sentrumsnære og koselege lokaler i Treungen. Sentralen har opp mot 70 engasjerte frivillige og eit høgt aktivitetsnivå. Sentralen har ei 100% stillingsom dagleg leiar, og ein prosjektmedarbeider i 50% som no skal ut i permisjon. Vi ynskjer ein engasjert Frivilligkoordinator/prosjektmedarbeider som kan samarbeide tett med dagleg leiar.
