¿You will define the annual customer success plan including all aspects of Marketing, Sales and Customer Service. This plan includes strategic objectives, initiatives, and go-to-market actions, in an omnichannel context where you combine both physical and digital channels. A big part of your challenge is accelerating our digital transformation strategy, operating model and execution:

You manage the end-to-end digital and omnichannel strategy and operationg model across the entire value chain, from customer awareness to customer invoicing

You manage the innovation funnel, cross division, in close collaboration with the product owners (they are in charge of ideation and development). As market manager, you are in charge of the final launch step, where you align with all stakeholders to ensure a successful product launch.
You act as the process owner for innovation management, go-to-market, market and customer intelligence, and digital channel processes. As process owner, you ensure continuous improvement including process adoption, perfomance monitoring, prioritisation and implementation of improvements (related to process, people & systems). Doing this, you build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.

As our Product Manager for Naval Systems, you will be a key driver in shaping our portfolio of advanced data processing solutions for naval applications. Our main product lines include high-performance and rugged computers, robust displays, and integrated panel PCs designed for demanding maritime environments.
The position reports to the VP Product Management. The work location for the position will be at Hatteland Technology's head office in Aksdal or at their office in Lysaker.
Responsibilities and tasks
As Product Manager Naval Systems, you will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and requirements definition to development, testing, and implementation, ensuring compliance with critical military standards. You will act as a point of contact and technical expert, and you will collaborate closely with the engineering department, program management, sales, and end-users.
Relevant tasks will include:
- define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our naval systems product line, encompassing ruggedized computers, monitors, and panel computers
- conducting market analyses to identify naval customer needs, new technologies, and competitors - especially in naval data processing and displays
- translate complex operational requirements for naval computing solutions into clear and concise product specifications and user stories
- rigorously ensure product compliance with relevant military standards, including MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-167, as they apply to ruggedized computing and display technologies
- developing and implementing marketing strategies and product positioning in collaboration with sales and business development
- monitor and evaluate product performance in operational environments, identifying areas for enhancement and optimization based on naval feedback and mission requirements for our computing solutions
Your profile
Our next Product Manager Naval Systems has solid experience as a product manager, preferably within the maritime or defense industry. Experience as a project manager is also of interest. To succeed in this role, we believe you must have a good technical understanding and the ability to familiarize yourself with complex concepts related to hardware and system integration for naval platforms.
We are looking for someone who is an initiative-taking and results-oriented person with good communication and collaboration skills. You enjoy working cross-functionally with engineers, designers, sales, and marketing teams to create the best products for our customers. Your passion for technology, combined with your strategic thinking and market orientation, will help drive our product portfolio forward.
Furthermore, we envision that you have:
- Relevant higher education, preferably a Master's degree in electrical, electronics, computer engineering, or another relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a product manager, preferably in the naval or defense industry, with experience in hardware or display technology
- In-depth understanding of naval systems, operations, and the special requirements of a maritime defense environment, especially regarding onboard data processing infrastructure
- Experience with military standards (MIL-STD-461, 810, 167) for electronic equipment
- Good language skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage
Background check and security clearance may be required.
