The Copenhagen Research Platform (CARP) at the Department of Health Technology (DTU Health Tech), Technical University of Denmark is seeking skilled software engineers. As a software engineer, you should have a strong educational background at a master's level in computer science, software engineering, biomedical engineering, or a similar field.
The job
As a software engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, documenting, ensuring quality assurance, and managing DevOps of the software developed as part of the Copenhagen Research Platform (CARP).

You are expected to work closely with researchers, including technical researchers at DTU and clinical researchers at the Technical University Hospital (TUH) of Copenhagen, as well as the various hospitals in the Capital Region (Region Hovedstaden - RH) and Region Zealand (Region Sjælland - RSJ). You will also work directly with patients and relatives while designing or deploying the technology. Hence, some travel is expected within the RH and RSJ regions.
As a senior software engineer, you will also be responsible for the supervision, guidance, and review of junior software engineers, who are typically hired as part-time student programmers.
Our expectations of you
You have a master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
We are looking for two types of software engineers: mobile phone developers and application service ("backend") developers.
Your technical skills will match one or more of the following topics:
mobile phone programming (Flutter/Dart, Android/Kotlin, iOS/Swift)
sensor collection (mobile phone sensing, wearables, activity trackers)
web-based development (React / JavaScript)
RESTful server infrastructure (Spring Boot, Kotlin, Java, Linux)
data processing & analysis (Python)
We expect you to master the entire software development cycle, from analysis and design to programming, quality assurance, maintenance, documentation, and DevOps.
We expect that you can work independently, solving tasks assigned to you while being part of the overall CARP team.

Your primary workplace will be in the CARP lab at the DTU Campus in Lyngby, as well as in hospital clinics in RH and RSJ.

As Project Manager for the European Space Agency (ESA) Technology Broker Denmark, you’ll play a central role in connecting Danish industry with the cutting-edge technologies and know-how developed through Europe’s space programmes.
The ESA Technology Broker Denmark assists Danish companies in identifying opportunities to utilize space commercially, enabling growth, competitiveness, and sustainability across various sectors, including energy, manufacturing, healthcare, mobility, and the green transition.
Hosted by DTU Space Ventures in Lyngby, the Technology Broker is part of ESA’s pan-European network of technology brokers, working to stimulate the use of space technologies and expertise in non-space domains, and utilizing non-space technologies in space domains to promote cross-sector innovation in Denmark.
The Role
We are seeking a structured, proactive, and relationship-driven Project Manager to help develop and manage the ESA Technology Broker Denmark initiative. You will help professionalise and scale the ESA Technology Broker Denmark activities, ensuring effective workflows, measurable impact, and a strong link to Danish companies, universities, and innovation stakeholders.
Working closely with the ESA Technology Broker team and colleagues at DTU Space Ventures, you will coordinate national activities, manage relationships with ESA and Danish partners, and help design and implement processes that strengthen the broker’s reach and results.
Key responsibilities
- Project Management: oversee and structure the execution of ongoing and new activities, ensuring progress, coordination, and follow-up across multiple stakeholders.
- Internal Organisation: develop and maintain effective workflows and documentation systems that support the Technology Broker’s daily operations.
- Ecosystem Engagement: build and nurture relationships with Danish companies, clusters, and universities.
- Technology Scouting: match space technologies with commercial challenges in non-space industries.
- Communication & Events: support outreach activities, including events, case studies, and workshops showcasing success stories.
- Reporting & Compliance: lead the preparation of reports and documentation for ESA, Danish funding bodies, DTU, and internal management. Ensure accurate, transparent, and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with ESA Technology Broker Network and foster transnational collaboration with other European Technology Brokers.
What we are looking for
- A relevant academic background, preferably in science, engineering, innovation management, or a related discipline.
- Experience in project management, ideally within innovation, technology, or R&D environments.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with an eye for structure, documentation, and process improvement.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities; you thrive in a stakeholder-heavy environment.
- Experience with Danish innovation ecosystems (companies, universities, clusters, or funding bodies) is an advantage.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with good humour and curiosity for technology and its applications.
