HGV Driver (Articulated – C+E) Employer: Virginia Transport Ltd Location: Maghera, Virginia, Co. Cavan, Ireland Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Annual Salary: €43,680 – €46,800 Gross per annum Equivalent Weekly Pay: €840 – €900 Gross per week Company Overview Virginia Transport Ltd, trading as Virginia International Logistics, provides national and international haulage services using a modern fleet and operating in compliance with Irish and EU transport regulations. Position Summary Virginia Transport Ltd is recruiting experienced HGV Drivers (C+E Licence) for national and international haulage operations. This is a full-time, permanent position, subject to successful completion of a six-month probationary period. Key Responsibilities • Conduct daily vehicle and trailer safety inspections • Operate articulated HGV vehicles in compliance with EU Drivers’ Hours Regulation (EC 561/2006) • Ensure correct use of digital tachograph equipment • Complete scheduled national and/or international deliveries • Comply with Road Traffic and Health & Safety legislation • Follow site-specific safety rules and wear required PPE • Maintain communication with the transport planning office • Keep vehicles and equipment clean and well maintained • Meet assigned collection and delivery schedules Essential Requirements • Full, clean C+E (Articulated) Driving Licence • Valid Driver CPC • Valid Digital Tachograph Card • Minimum 2 years’ verifiable HGV driving experience • Good knowledge of Road Traffic and transport legislation • Ability to communicate effectively in English for operational and safety purposes • Professional, reliable and safety-focused approach Desirable (Not Essential) ADR Certification Experience with articulated tipper vehicles Previous experience in haulage/logistics operations Hours of Work Full-time position averaging up to 48 hours per week Calculated over the applicable reference period In compliance with: Organisation of Working Time Act 1997 EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations (EC 561/2006) Working schedules may vary depending on operational requirements • Remuneration €43,680 – €46,800 Gross per annum Equivalent to €840 – €900 Gross per week Salary reflects the full scope of duties and working hours Overtime paid in accordance with statutory requirements, where applicable Contract Terms Permanent, full-time contract Six-month probationary period Immediate start available Application Process Applications must be submitted by email to: liz.fitzpatrick@virginialogistics.ie Please include: Updated CV detailing relevant experience Copy of C+E driving licence CPC certification details Digital Tachograph Card information Closing Date for Applications: 14 March 2026 Equal Opportunities Statement This position is open to all suitably qualified candidates.
