What is the ELM?
En europeisk digital referanse for læring (EDC) er en verifiserbar og digital versjon av en referanse utstedt av en organisasjon til en student for å dokumentere vedkommendes læring. Dette kan være vitnemål, opplæringssertifikater, mikroreferanser, deltakerbevis med mer. De kan utstedes på alle EU- og Europass-språk og signeres med et elektronisk segl (en type digital signatur tilhørende en pålitelig institusjon eller organisasjon).

The European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit launched the European Digital Credentials for learning in an all-digital event on 25 October 2021 streamed via Youtube, Zoom, Facebook and Twitter.

The meetings will aim to reduce the current fragmentation of the digital credential market and enable EU citizens to have their digital credentials read, displayed and stored in various public and private platforms.
University of Split successfully issues Europass Digital Credentials
Europass Digital Credentials confirm and provide evidence of learning outcomes and qualifications gained, such as diplomas. The standardisation of these credentials supports better understanding and verification of qualifications or other learning achievements. They can be used for formal education, non-formal and informal learning.
