What is the ELM?
Acreditarea digitală europeană pentru învățare (EDC) este o versiune digitală verificabilă a unei atestări emise de o organizație unui cursant pentru a-i documenta parcursul educațional. Este vorba, printre altele, despre diplome, certificate de formare, microcertificate, certificate de participare. Aceste acreditări pot fi emise în toate limbile UE și Europass și sunt semnate cu un sigiliu electronic (o formă de semnătură digitală aparținând unei instituții sau organizații de încredere).

The European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit launched the European Digital Credentials for learning in an all-digital event on 25 October 2021 streamed via Youtube, Zoom, Facebook and Twitter.

The meetings will aim to reduce the current fragmentation of the digital credential market and enable EU citizens to have their digital credentials read, displayed and stored in various public and private platforms.
University of Split successfully issues Europass Digital Credentials
Europass Digital Credentials confirm and provide evidence of learning outcomes and qualifications gained, such as diplomas. The standardisation of these credentials supports better understanding and verification of qualifications or other learning achievements. They can be used for formal education, non-formal and informal learning.
