Key performance areas In this position, you develop our next generation of outstanding cutting tool materials and, with your application knowledge, you are constantly improving our understanding of customer demands. You also act as test leader in laboratory environment as well as in the field, where our new products are tested, and you investigate how material properties affect tool performance. As Senior R&D Engineer, you support the team with your expertise as you take full on responsibility for acting as project manager, when needed. Your profile We are looking for someone with a Master’s or PhD in a relevant technical field. A background in Materials and/or Mechanical Engineering is advantageous in this position. You have at least five years of experience from working with materials development or product development. Practical experience of metal cutting is also very valuable in this position. Preferably, you have a background from customer interaction related to capturing customer needs and taking them back to product development. Experience in writing reports and recording results of projects and tests and presenting these, is very beneficial. As we operate on the global stage, your English skills, both written and verbal, must be great.
