Data Analyst (Fleet & Supply Chain – Tank Containers) | Fulltime
Netherlands, ROTTERDAM
International, centrally positioned role with direct impact on the deployment of thousands of tank containers worldwide.
You have a good job. But you feel there’s more in it for you.
Maybe you’re looking for greater international impact. Or you’re ready to move beyond environments where data lags behind reality.
At our client, that’s exactly the challenge.
Today, the global fleet is still largely managed through manual spreadsheets. Data is fragmented, often outdated, and not available in real time.
You are going to fundamentally change that.
For one of the world’s largest tank container leasing companies — managing over 75,000 tank containers globally — we are looking for a Data Analyst for an internationally focused, centrally positioned role based in Rotterdam.
In this role, you don’t just report on numbers — you directly influence the deployment, availability, and planning of tank containers worldwide. Your work ensures that stakeholders across the globe can generate accurate, real-time reports at any moment and use them for decision-making.
This level of tangible impact is rare in a data analyst role.
About the organization
Our client is one of the largest tank container leasing companies in the world. With a global fleet and international customer base, data plays an increasingly critical role in its success.
The organization is undergoing a transition from manual, Excel-driven processes to data-driven operations with real-time insights.
As part of the Marmon Group (a Berkshire Hathaway company), you benefit from a strong international foundation combined with the dynamics of an evolving organization.
The culture is open, international, and results-driven, offering significant responsibility and room for initiative.
Your challenge
As a Data Analyst, you operate at the heart of an international operation. You ensure a single source of truth and support the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
You work with data from multiple systems — inclu.

Strong skills in Excel, Power BI (including DAX), and SQL
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns quickly
Confident and effective in working with international stakeholders
Proactive, with the ability to provide both solicited and unsolicited advice
International experience is essential. You have worked in a global supply chain environment (e.g. logistics, leasing, shipping, or manufacturing) and have proven experience with SIOP processes.
You are not a pure IT specialist, but a business-oriented data analyst who understands how processes work and how data drives decision-making.
Additionally:
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
Available for a full-time role (40 hours)
Comfortable working across multiple time zones
Technical qualifications
In this role, you operate at the intersection of data and supply chain. Therefore, experience with the following is important:
Approximately 4–7 years of experience in data or business analytics within supply chain or SIOP
SQL, data modeling (star/snowflake), Power BI (DAX), and Excel (Power Query / Power Pivot)
Data quality frameworks and master data management
Demand planning, inventory management, and SIOP processes
Connecting operational and financial data

Become our new Data Manager and help the world decode the oceans for a sustainable future at the VLIZ Marine Data Centre. The VLIZ Marine Data Centre (VMDC) is an international hub for marine and coastal data, connecting scientists, policymakers, and innovators worldwide. It manages vast collections of high-quality datasets, tools, and services that support cutting-edge ocean research and sustainable marine management. By working at VMDC, you contribute to advancing open science and support tackling global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and ocean health. The VMDC is built on collaboration, innovation, and a passion for the sea, offering a stimulating environment for professionals who want to make an impact. Joining VMDC means becoming part of a dynamic, international team dedicated to unlocking knowledge for a sustainable future of our oceans.
We are currently looking for a Data Manager to join our Data Engineering (DE) team. This team drives innovation in marine data by building model data systems, formalizing and organizing data elements and relationships between them, and implementing these systems by creating software to work with data following defined models. Their expertise spans the application of software engineering best practices to data systems, develop tools to work with these systems, automate and optimize data management processes, and support data managers. The team is involved in several EU and global data networks and projects (e.g. E=MCM, George, ICOS, Tricuso).
Within these projects we design, prototype and demonstrate a single scalable system of systems coordinating unmanned autonomous toolboxes through intelligent platforms and decision-support. With this, we support both the planning and operations of our missions that deploy these "robotics" platforms. Additionally our expertise is employed in the development of digital support systems in the challenging domains like the capturing of human activity data from AIS and the processing of underwater acoustics.
