We are looking for:

  • Ship Hull Fitters // Ship Plate Fitters //Platers 

for marine industry in Denmark

Scan Con offers jobs at the Shipyards on Reparation and New Build Departments. 

Key tasks:

  • Assemble and install ship hull sections according to blueprints and specifications

  • Align and secure structural parts to ensure a proper fit

  • Cut, shape, and prepare metal components for assembly

  • Perform welding, bolting, and riveting tasks as required

  • Locates and marks reference lines; such as center, buttock, and frame lines

  • Positions parts in hull of a Ship, assisted by rigger

  • Aligns parts relation to each other using jacks, lever blocks, chain blocks, clips, wedges, etc.

  • Marks location of holes to be drilled and installs temporary fasteners to hold parts in a place for welding or revising

  • Install packing, gasket, liner, and structural accessories and members such as doors, hatches, brackets, and clips

  • Tack and weld clips and brackets in place prior to permanent welding

  • May prepare molds and templates for fabrication of non-standard parts

  • May roll, bend flange, cut and shape plates, beams, and other heavy metal parts using shop machinery; such as plate roll, presses, bending  brakes, and joggle machine

  • Performs other duties as required

Skills:

  • English - must be able to communicate in English 

  • Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety

  • Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers

  • Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines

Experience:

  • Experience is good to have but that's not necessary
