As the Human Resources Business Partner at PHINIA Luxembourg, you will lead the implementation of HR strategies that align with both PHINIA's global vision and local legal requirements, fostering a culture of teamwork, empowerment, and continuous development.
Key Responsibilities:
Builds business partnership relationships with management and employees through expert consultative council and support on all HR related matters.
Leads all union-related processes, including negotiations, maintaining strong relationships with work council, and ensuring compliance with collective labor agreement.
Creates environment to support the ongoing development of internal talent by identifying training needs, designing and conducting training programs and evaluating the effectiveness of these programs that support the organization's need for developing the knowledge and capabilities of all internal talent.
Works with management to formulate a succession plan for key positions.
Delivers employee relations and career counseling, new employee orientations, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews, to ensure satisfied and highly motivated employees and a trusted work environment.
Leads salary administration, benefits projects, and payroll input processes in collaboration with Finance and external service providers.
Develops, communicates and implements new policies and practices to effect continual improvements in teams' efficiency and resolution of problems, by using judgment that is consistent with local laws and regulations. Implements and complies with PHINIA HR policies and initiatives.
Acts as a catalyst for change while motivating others to support the change.
Drives initiatives that promote employee engagement, recognition, and belonging. Represents PHINIA in local community and CSR activities, demonstrating our commitment to integrity, inclusion, and social responsibility.
Leads recruiting and retention efforts to attract and retain the best talents.
Provides coaching to less experienced HR staff.
Implements effective performance management system.
Represents PHINIA at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Ensures compliance with Luxembourgish Labor Law and Social Security regulations.
Handles disciplinary and grievance procedures in accordance with company policy and local legal standards.
Supports a healthy, safe, and compliant work environment by collaborating closely with the HSE representative and understanding HSE requirements.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
5+ years of HR generalist experience in international and/or matrix environment
Strong Interpersonal Skills: ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships at all organizational levels.
Effective Communication: excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in French, German or Luxembourgish is considered an asset.
Organizational and Multitasking Skills: Skilled at managing priorities, meeting deadlines, and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
Confident and Credible Presence: decision making skills and ability to influence and collaborate across teams and hierarchies.
Integrity and Ethics: Acts with transparency and fairness, modeling PHINIA's values in all decisions.
Legal and Compliance Awareness: Solid working knowledge of Luxembourg employment laws and HR compliance requirements.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems
