DIALYSIS NURSE
As a dialysis nurse in training, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, requiring a high level of autonomy and responsibility. Your responsibilities include guiding and supporting dialysis patients, ensuring their preparedness for treatment. Throughout the treatment, you will continuously monitor patients and respond to hemodynamic instability. Typically, you will establish long-term care relationships with patients and emphasize the importance of effective communication in your role. An affinity for technology and ICT is considered advantageous. Upon completing the training, you will be able to independently care for dialysis patients. You will collaborate with nephrologists, (pre-)dialysis nurses, dialysis assistants, department assistants, social workers, dietitians, technicians, a department laboratory assistant, and secretaries, forming a knowledgeable and dedicated team.
Your profile:

Bachelor of Nursing diploma obtained in an EU/EAA country.
·
EU nationality.
·
Preferably, one year of clinical nursing (dialysis) experience.
·
Motivated to pursue an educational program within a hospital or dialysis clinic.
·
Ability to balance work and study.
·
Flexibility.
·
A2 level of English.
·
Providing medical care for people with chronic disease (COPD, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases);
·
Request laboratory or other diagnostic tests and analyze the results;
·
Providing palliative and terminal care to chronically ill patients;
·
Recording medical history of patients in an electronic patient file;
·
Conducting consultations with supporting disciplines (for example with practice nurses and doctor’s assistants).
Educational Program:
The program consists of both theoretical and practical components. Alongside your work in the dialysis department, you will attend (online) classes around one day per week.
During the training to become a dialysis nurse, you will learn to independently provide care to dialysis patients dependent on renal replacement therapy. The training program duration is 15 months and includes both theoretical and practical aspects.
Employment conditions

During the graduation program, you will receive an initial gross annual salary starting at approx. €33.984,00 (up until €45.888,00) based on 36 hours per week, according to the Dutch Labor Agreement for Hospitals (CAO NVZ-FWG 45).

After graduation, you will receive an initial gross annual salary starting at approx. €36.564,00 (up until €51.888,00) based on 36 hours per week, according to the Dutch Labor Agreement for Hospitals (CAO-NVZ-FWG 50).
·
22.5-25 vacation days (based on 36 hours per week).
·
Holiday Pay and Year-end Bonus.
·
A working/learning contract at the hospital for maximum of 36 hours a week (including hours for classes).

Work primarily dayshifts.
