Main Role and Responsibilities Batteries have complex nonlinear dynamics and need a Battery Management System (BMS) with advanced estimation and control algorithms to ensure their optimal performance and long lifetime. There is still room for optimization to reduce the total cost of ownership. Further, additional intelligence in BMS is needed to enable efficient and cost-effective applications of second-life batteries with guaranteed performance. Challenges to solve are here mainly related to battery classification, robust health prognosis, and optimal management/control. This PhD project will address these challenges by proposing novel estimation/control algorithms, models, and methods. Your major responsibility is to pursue research in line with the project, publish and present scientific articles, support the Volvo Group patent strategy, and take part in discussions for knowledge sharing. The Swedish team will mainly be working with the task to create a comprehensive picture of value agents and value-related practices in migration and integration contexts in European societies and in the external transmission of European values to potential migrants and refugees coming to Europe. Duties/responsibilities The duties consist mainly of an ethnographic fieldwork, including 40 interviews (incl. transcription) with integration providers and other actors in the field on the national and local and regional level in Germany, as well as participation at relevant consortium meetings. The organization of stakeholder meetings, collaboration with the German team, and certain dissemination activities may also be included in the tasks.
