Main Duties and Responsibilities: The main duties and responsibilities of the Civil Junior Engineer are outlined as follows: Work as part of a project team, contributing to the delivery of ongoing projects and embracing a collaborative “one team” culture. Support the promotion of Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies, and procedures on-site. Develop foundational skills in setting out under supervision. Gain practical experience in the use of laser levels and dumpy levels. Build familiarity with BIM/Revit and develop basic drafting skills. Learn to interpret rebar details and drawings with guidance from senior engineers. Learn and practice basic concrete quality control tests, such as measuring slump (workability), taking cube samples, curing them properly, and recording the results. Get familiar with water and wastewater treatment processes, including exposure to modular package treatment plant fabrication. Engage in continuous learning and development, keeping up to date with emerging industry standards and technologies through guidance and mentoring. Support site teams with health and safety activities, such as inductions, statutory inspections, record keeping, and data collection. Demonstrate eagerness to learn, develop professional skills, and progress toward future career goals.
