About us
We are a team of 40 committed engineers working on all aspects of repair engineering across the perimeter of forward and aft fuselage as well as doors. When customers find issues in the fuselage of their aircraft, we are ready to support them by delivering quick and efficient repair solutions to enable the safe operation of the aircraft and to keep their fleets airworthy. Due to the nature of the airline business, it´s important that we are very reactive and pragmatic, and our lead times are normally measured in days or hours rather than weeks.
We are an international, dynamic and experienced team working jointly with our other engineering centers located in India, China and the US providing a fast and reliable service.
With us you will learn the end to end repair process, and you will have a chance to work on interesting projects along the way focusing always on customer and in-service operations.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- You will be actively contributing to the operational coordination of the customer inquiries, making sure that they are delivered on Time and Quality

- You will get to know the airframe repair business, specifically focusing on balanced distribution of the workload within the team and different engineering centers

We are looking for a Study Engineer (d/f/m) – Operational Analysis / Concept of Operations to reinforce the “Operational Analysis and Studies“ department in Friedrichshafen. Your tasks and responsibilities
- You work in an agile environment project team involved in the planning, implementation and analysis of military studies and simulation based-analyses.
- You support Workshops and conduct interviews with customers and stakeholders, prepare study results for customer presentations.
- You support the collection and definition of customer requirements, define Concept of Operations (CONOPS),
- You develop simulation models and scenarios and implement them into an existing 3D simulation framework.
- You generate simulation result data by applying Data Farming methodology with the 3D simulation framework and evaluate the results using data analysis and statistics.
- You manage interfaces between customers, other departments and work packages.
- You support the Technical management of studies and projects.

Desired skills and qualifications
- You have a degree in information technology, aerospace technology or engineering.
- Ideally, you have first experience in the operational simulation-based analysis of system of systems in military scenarios, as well as defining performance indicators/measures of effectiveness.
- You are familiar with simulation tools and/or 3D Game Engines.
- Good practical programming experience, ideally in Python and C++.
- You have good knowledge of modeling and simulation; operational knowledge in the military domain is an advantage.
- You have first experience in project management with agile methods (e.g. Scrum) and the use of appropriate tools; knowledge of using Atlassian toolstack (Confluence, JIRA) is an advantage.
- You have knowledge of modeling and simulation.
- You have fluent/business fluent English and skills, both spoken and written.
- German knowledge would be of advantage.
- You have an independent and reliable way of working, have analytical thinking skills to understand complex relationships and have strong presentation and communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team.
