Hotel Revenue Manager; Hotel Systems Experte
Stellenbeschreibung:
Hotel PMS use Experience Required (please do not apply if you have never used a hotel PMS)
Location: Fully Remote (EU preferred – Spain / Portugal / Southern Europe or global if compatible with EOR or contractor setup)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Flexible Hours)
Experience Level: Experience with hotel systems required
Salary Range: €30.000 - 45.000
Company Overview
Hotel Res Bot is a fast-growing SaaS company building AI-powered automation systems for the hospitality industry.
Our platform automatically reads incoming reservation emails and generates tailored offers for guests.
Unlike many traditional hotel systems, we work entirely with live real-time data from PMS, CRS, IBE, and Channel Manager APIs. Because of this, stable integrations and accurate data flow are critical to our product.
This is where this role comes in.
Job Summary
Are you the person at the hotel everyone turns to when the PMS stops syncing, the channel manager misbehaves, or integrations break? This can be a great transition role into hotel tech from hotel operations
We are looking for a Hotel Systems Integration Specialist to take ownership of technical connectivity and implementation for our hotel partners.
This role is focused specifically on integration execution and system connectivity. You will work closely with our Account Management and Support teams, but you will not be responsible for commercial account management or first-line customer support. Your primary responsibility is ensuring that integrations between hotel systems and our platform are configured, tested, and functioning reliably.
You will also play an important internal role by helping our developers understand new PMS, CRS, and Channel Manager integrations — translating vendor documentation, operational workflows, and real-world hotel requirements into clear technical specifications and test scenarios.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Own Technical Onboarding
Lead the technical setup and activation of new hotel clients on our platform.
Ensure Reliable Connectivity
Configure, test, and validate integrations between our system and hotel PMS, CRS, and Channel Manager environments.
Translate Hotel Requirements into Technical Specs
When hotels request specific workflows (e.g. reservation field mapping, folio posting rules, or company profile handling), analyze whether and how their PMS APIs support it.
Work with API Documentation & Testing Tools
Use tools like Postman to test API endpoints, validate responses, and confirm system behavior before implementation.
Bridge to Engineering
Translate integration findings into clear, actionable specifications and GitLab tickets for the engineering team.
Troubleshoot Integration Issues
Investigate and resolve connectivity problems such as synchronization errors, missing reservation data, or incorrect folio postings.
Guide Hotel Technical Teams
Support hotel IT, revenue, or operations teams through setup steps such as API authentication (e.g. Microsoft Graph) and simple DNS configuration (e.g. CNAME records).
What We Are Looking For
Must Have
Experience with Hotel Systems Required
Previous experience working with hotel systems (such as PMS, CRS, Channel Managers, or other hotel operations platforms) is required.
Interface (API) Curiosity & Documentation Skills
Ability to read and interpret API documentation and figure out how to validate behavior using tools like Postman.
Technical Comfort (No Coding Required)
Comfort working with structured data (JSON/XML), basic API concepts, and technical troubleshooting workflows.
Strong Communication Skills
Ability to communicate clearly with both hotel operational teams and technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Mindset
You enjoy investigating why systems don’t work and prefer practical solutions over theoretical perfection.
Fluent English
Written and spoken. No German required.
Nice to Have (We Can Teach You)
- Experience using Postman for API testing
- Basic understanding of DNS / CNAME configuration
- Experience with PMS vendors such as Mews, Opera, Cloudbeds, Protel, SiteMinder, D-EDGE, SynXis, or Apaleo
- Previous experience in hotel tech (PMS, Channel Manager, CRS, IBE vendors)
What Success Looks Like
Within 6 weeks, you will be independently:
- Onboarding and configuring hotel system integrations
- Testing API endpoints and validating integration behavior
- Translating hotel requirements into clear technical specifications
- Creating actionable engineering tickets for integration work
- Supporting live troubleshooting of connectivity issues
Culture & Working Style
We are a fully remote, international team operating in a trust-based environment.
We value:
- Remote & flexibility first – work from anywhere, structure your day how it works best for you
- High autonomy with high responsibility – you own your work end-to-end
- Strong error culture – mistakes are expected as part of learning; we focus on fixing and improving, not blaming
- Respectful communication – direct feedback is welcome, personal attacks are not
- Pragmatism over perfection – we prefer working systems over theoretical perfection
We work in a fast-moving environment where clarity improves over time through iteration, not upfront perfection.
Benefits
- Fully remote position
- Flexible working hours
- Direct access to engineering and product teams
- High autonomy and ownership
- Opportunity to grow into technical product or engineering roles
- Equipment provided (laptop + accessories if needed)
How to Apply
Please send your application to: career@hotelresbot.com
Please include:
- CV or short professional background
- Brief cover letter explaining: - Your experience with hotel systems (PMS, CRS, Channel Managers, etc.)
- Your comfort level with reading API documentation and using tools like Postman
- Why you are interested in hotel SaaS implementation and connectivity

DEINE MISSIONWe're building the next-generation backend that powers Germany's largest reusable-packaging network - a circular-economy deposit-return system live across 17,000+ locations. It's a two-track hybrid modernisation (brown and greenfield), cloud-native, event-driven TypeScript platform that runs real-world operational logistics: partners, point-of-sale, returns, billing, and fulfillment at national scale, expanding internationally.
You'll join as a (senior) engineer (all genders) with real ownership: designing, building and own core services and working directly with our technical lead and peers on architecture. This is not a ticket-taking role - you'll shape the system, not just implement against it.
What you'll do:
• Design, build and own core platform services: partner management, point-of-sale, billing and invoicing, returns, fulfillment, and contract management
• Build event-driven, async-heavy integrations between services and external systems -outbox patterns, queues, retries, dead-letter handling
• Help drive our international expansion
• Partner with the technical lead on architectural decisions, data modelling, and the incremental extraction of capabilities from our existing platform into the new one
• Set the engineering bar-testing, observability, and operational readiness baked in from day one
Our stack:
• Language: PHP (7.1) (current),TypeScript (Nextdirection)
• Framework: Shopware 5.3 and NestJS
• Data: Mariadb, PostgreSQL + Prisma
• Cloud: Google CloudPlatform - Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks
• AI: Claude (Code, Chat and Cowork)
• APIs: REST
• Platform: GCP
• Existing platform (you'll learn its domain): PHP / Shopware the current production system we're incrementally extracting from.
WAS DU MITBRINGST
• 7–10 years of backend engineering, with deep production experience in Node.js, TypeScript and substantial hands-on NestJS in production plus ability to work with legacy PP2 (PHP) code
• Strong system design and execution - you've designed distributed, async/queue-heavy systems and shipped them, not just white-boarded them
• Solid relational data modelling and SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL ideally)
• Comfortable owning a problem end-to-end: design, build, test, ship, operate
• Munich-based. This is a hybrid role: 2 days/week in our Munich office, rest remote
Working with AI coding agents (a real part of this role)
We use AI coding agents (Claude Code) every day as a core part of how we build. We expect you to as well. Concretely, we're looking for someone who:
• has shipped production code with an AI coding agent,
• can describe their workflow - how they spec, prompt, review, and integrate agent output,
• has informed opinions on where agents fail and how they guard against it (review discipline, tests, architectural guardrails)
This isn't a buzzword for us - it's how the team works, and our hiring process reflects it (below).
Nice to have
• Event-driven/ CQRS /outboxexperience
• Google CloudPlatform
• Migrationorlegacy-extractionexperience(incrementallyreplacinganoldersystem)
• Comfortablereadingunfamiliarorlegacycodebases
How we hire
• First Interview with People & Organisation (~25 minutes) - We want to get to know you better in a first meeting and you will get to know RECUP's culture, values and vision and understand yourself better for a mutual fit
• Meet Hiring Manager (Tech Leader) (~25 minutes) - Understand the RECUP platform from a technical perspective
• Our take-home case (~55 minutes) is AI-agent-assisted by design - use your preferred agent, as you would on the job. We don't test memorized syntax; we assess engineering judgment: how you specify work, catch and correct the agent, and make architectural decisions. Expect a brief take-home plus a live pairing and design session
• Meet the Team (Tech Lead and Engineer) + live AI coding session (extension of our take-home test) (~55 minutes) - Experience working with your new team.
• Meet our Co-CEO (~25 minutes) - Gain insight into our product and business
WAS WIR BIETEN
• The opportunity to make an impact at a company that combines economic growth with real, sustainable impact
• Flexible working models (flexible hours, remote work)
• Room for development and ownership: you actively shape your area
• A personal, professional culture and open feedback culture
• A dynamic, growth-oriented environment in a scale-up phase
• Partnerships with Wellpass, Urban Sports Club, Open Up and Future Bens
You can find all our benefits on our jobs page. Want to help us write reusable packaging history?
Then we look forward to your application: send us a short, punchy cover letter and your CV via the application form. What matters to us are your skills, your experience and above all whether you identify with our values and company culture. Since we too are not entirely free from unconscious biases, we kindly ask you not to include a photo. Where can we still improve?
We want to become more diverse because we believe that we can only achieve our vision through diversity, and that innovation can only emerge through diversity. We therefore welcome applications from people with international backgrounds, people of all gender identities, all age groups, people of color, and people with disabilities or chronic illness.
