As a Mechanical Technician at Ciner Glass Belgium, you ensure the safe and reliable operation of our production installations. You perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
You start with a general technical training program to become familiar with our installations and production process, followed by role-specific training. After training, you move into a 6-shift system or day shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective and curative mechanical maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair machines and installations
- Coordinate maintenance activities requiring production downtime
- Assemble, disassemble, overhaul and modify equipment
- Read, follow and create technical work instructions
- Prepare and review technical tasks and projects
- Monitor calibration of measuring equipment
- Register and document maintenance activities and ensure proper handover
- Work with machine controls and systems according to procedures
- Share knowledge and support colleagues
- Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency projects
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- A technical diploma, preferably with a specialization in mechanics
- Strong mechanical skills and hands-on mindset
- Several years of experience in a maintenance or technical support role, ideally in an industrial or production environment
- Solid mechanical knowledge with proven ability to diagnose and repair industrial machinery
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and external suppliers
- Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
- Willingness to work in a 6-shift system or day shift
