This is only possible with the help of a warm and dedicated team of caregivers and volunteers. The Westerweeren (WelThuis Bergambacht), Zevenster in Zevenhuizen (WelThuis Zevenhuizen), and Vivaldi (WelThuis Zoetermeer) residential care facilities have a special palliative care unit for this purpose. Palet Welzijn is looking for dedicated volunteers for these units. Would you like to help us? This is what you'll do: Together with fellow volunteers and the care team, you'll support our guests and their families. You'll do this by offering a listening ear, helping with meals, and performing small household chores, among other things. You'll talk with guests to find ways to make their stay as pleasant as possible. For example, you could take them for a walk occasionally, organize a small activity, or help with contacting the Ambulance Wish Foundation. As a volunteer, you'll be available for one or two half-days a week. You'll schedule your own shifts together with your fellow volunteers. You'll receive appropriate training and can count on guidance from the care team. Are you interested and stable? Then contact us through this vacancy board. Indicate the location you're interested in. If you have a valid ID and your phone number in your response, you'll hear from us soon. Palet Welzijn will apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) for you, and you'll receive a volunteer gift twice a year and the VrijwilligerCentraal digital newsletter.
