At the Mads Clausen Institute (MCI) in Sønderborg a position as a technician is vacant with employment starting October 1st, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. MCI, which is part of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark and located both in Odense and in Sønderborg, currently has more than 100 employees in education, research and innovation. In Sønderborg, MCI consists of the NanoSYD centre, the Center for Materials Analysis and Characterization (CMAC) and the Center for Advanced Photovoltaics (CAPE).
During the last years we have been in a process of constant expansion. To further strengthen our technical research and innovation activities within MCI, we are looking for a flexible and ambitious technician. As a technician you will be working closely with the lab managers to support the different units in-house in the fulfillment of various tasks.

Experience with the manufacturing of parts by CNC milling is a plus.Experience with CAD design software such as NX is a plus; willingness to learn corresponding competences is, though, expected .

As Chef, you will have overall responsibility for preparing Indian authentic dishes in our Tandoori Kithce and ensuring an consistent culinary experience for restaurant guests and our catering customers.
Your primary workplace will be in Valby, but you must be flexible and able to take on work assignments in Roskilde or Aarhus as needed.

Purchasing of raw materials, ingredients, and necessary supplies.
Follow the overall hygienic rules and regulations set by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA)
Qualifications
We expect that you:
Have documented experience in Indian cuisine, particularly Tandoori dishes.
Are structured, quality-conscious, and able to work efficiently during busy periods.
Comply with all applicable food safety and hygiene regulations.
