Software Engineer
Tandem Health AB
Sweden, Stockholm
About the Role You love solving problems with technology. At your previous job you were the person who really got stuff done, and because you understood how everything worked you were someone people often came to for help. As a Software Engineer at Tandem, those skills will be applied to problems that really matter - problems that help ensure our healthcare system functions properly. You’ll be designing, implementing, and debugging high-stakes, complex systems together with other engineers who are deeply engaged and care about both our mission and the technology we build. You’ll work across the stack and collaborate closely with multiple teams, contributing to technical decisions, supporting others through collaboration and knowledge sharing, and helping ensure our systems are performant, reliable, and continuously improving. This is a high-impact role where you’ll help shape both the product and the way we build it. You’ll be responsible for writing excellent code, taking ownership of well-defined problem areas, and driving features and improvements from design to production. If you’re excited about building meaningful products and tackling challenging technical problems in a fast-moving environment, we’d love to meet you. What you will do: Design and develop complex systems - from data processing pipelines to APIs and client integrations that are critical to clinician workflows. Contribute to building and scaling cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Influence technical direction within your team through hands-on work, thoughtful design, and clear documentation. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including clinicians and designers, to ensure we're solving the right problems with the right solutions. Make and contribute to technical decisions across backend and frontend systems, including Python, TypeScript, React, and Kubernetes. Support and grow other engineers across the team through code reviews, design feedback, and strategic guidance. Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, and code quality within your team. What You Bring A strong track record of delivering technical projects end-to-end in a fast-moving product environment. Solid experience building and deploying scalable backend systems. Experience working with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems, combined with a strong product mindset — you care about impact, not just code. A bias toward ownership, proactivity, and collaboration. Clear and effective communication skills, and the ability to contribute to technical and product discussions. Bonus Points Hands-on experience with LLM-based applications. Experience working with streaming audio, transcription systems, or real-time media pipelines. Experience building authentication servers and systems. Experience with Kubernetes and Azure Proficiency with modern frontend technologies, especially TypeScript and React. Participation in open-source projects or technical communities. Experience in health-tech. Location We believe the best ideas happen when we’re together.
