The school is seeking an experienced French Teacher to join the Modern Languages Department with a strong background in UK Primary Education or Secondary education and the Cambridge Curriculum. The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver our French curriculum to a variety of pupils of varied abilities, mainly in our Primary section. This role's timetable will be part-time (50%).
BJAB is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates will be subject to background checks in line with British Overseas Standards.
This position will begin on Friday, 21st August 2026 with new staff induction ahead of a full staff preparation week from Monday, 24th August until Friday, 28th August; the beginning of term is Monday, 31st August, 2026. Employment is for an indefinite time period. We only welcome candidates interested in full-time employment for this role. If interested, kindly submit the TES application form. The Headteacher, Mr Francis Retter, also requires a short covering (motivation) letter and CV via the platform. Successful candidates must have the following:
- An excellent knowledge of UK education and the National Curriculum of England.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- At least 3 years of teaching in a British school (preferred) or a British international school.
- Fluent mastery level of English (written and spoken).
- The right to work in Belgium and/or eligibility for sponsorship under a Belgian work visa programme.
