Als onderstationschef verzeker je de veiligheid van de reizigers en van je collega's in het station. Samen met je collega's help je elke dag duizenden reizigers. Daarnaast zorg je mee voor stipte treinen. Op die manier draag je direct bij aan de doelstellingen van NMBS.

Wat is jouw rol bij NMBS ?

 

Je zorgt voor een positieve klantenervaring en hebt meerdere verantwoordelijkheden:

• Je informeert reizigers in het station maar ook jouw collega's (treinbegeleiders, Securail, ...). 
• Je helpt en begeleidt reizigers met beperkte mobiliteit, slechtzienden, ouderen, ... 
• Sommige treinen worden gesplitst of gekoppeld in het station: je ziet erop toe dat dat veilig verloopt en de reizigers in het juiste treindeel terechtkomen. Je kan ook zelf (ont)koppelen en een remproef uitvoeren.
• Het kan gebeuren dat een spoorlijn (bv. door een incident) niet kan worden gebruikt: je werkt dan mee aan een alternatief vervoersplan (met treinen, bussen of taxi's) en zorgt er ook voor dat de reizigers goed en snel worden geïnformeerd.
• Ook bij aangekondigde werken aan het spoor zorg je voor duidelijke informatie in het station.
• Je stelt een verslag op van incidenten.

Waarom is deze job iets voor jou ?

 

• Je behaalde een diploma van het secundair onderwijs (OK4) of een gelijkwaardigheidsattest. OF je hebt minstens 2 jaar recente ervaring in een job met rechtstreeks klantencontact en/of in een coördinerende functie (bijvoorbeeld in de luchtvaart, horeca of in een productieomgeving).
• Je hebt een rijbewijs B voor een handgeschakeld voertuig.

 

Je bezit de volgende kwaliteiten:

• Je bent stipt en volgt procedures strikt op.
• Je kan snel een situatie analyseren en een gepaste beslissing nemen.
• Je neemt geen afwachtende houding aan en stapt af op reizigers die onzeker rondkijken. 
• Je communiceert vlot en hebt ook een basiskennis Frans.
• Je bent flexibel in je werkuren en bereid te werken in een ploegensysteem, ook in het weekend en op feestdagen. De mogelijke werkuren zijn 6u-14u, 14u-22u en 22u-6u. Je werkt ongeveer 1 weekend op 2.

 

Omdat je je werkplek snel moet kunnen bereiken in geval van storingen en om een goede balans tussen werk en privé te garanderen, moet je wonen in één van de gemeenten uit deze lijst .

Your role

As an Application Architect in Architecture & Technology, you will be part of a dynamic team that includes architects from multiple domains and 8 developers focused on our central components. In this role, you will set the architectural direction across our application landscape in close collaboration with other architects and lead developers across our three development teams. Together, you will define general principles to enhance resilience and scalability across our applications that power our current and future business services.  

In this role, you will go beyond quick fixes, embracing a holistic approach to problem-solving. Collaborating across architecture domains and applications, you will drive areas of improvement that enhance the robustness and effectiveness of our application landscape. Working closely with lead developers, architects, product owners, and engineers, you will align technical solutions with user needs for ongoing and upcoming development projects.

What you will do

• Define and drive application architecture strategy: Establish and enforce principles, standards and patterns that support consistency across our application landscape, and ensure alignment across architectural domains

• Drive Sustaining Engineering: Identify general and specific areas of improvement to address technical debt. We aim to set a side about 20% of development hours for these items each sprint

• Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with architects across domains, lead developers, product owners, and engineers to ensure design decisions are aligned with general architectural principles

• Stay updated on emerging technologies: Continuously research and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and industry trends to ensure technological adaptation that supports the long-term architectural goals

We’re looking for someone with

• Collaborative Attitude: You will be working closely together with our team of architects, driving architectural decisions for supporting maintainable, scalable and robust systems

• Solid Foundation: A master’s degree in computer science, IT or a related field.

• Proven Expertise: 3-5 years of experience as a Solution or Application Architect and proficiency in C#, .NET, Azure DevOps, and DevOps practices such as CI/CD, IaC and Test Automation. 

·       Knowledge: and/or experience with integrations- and architecture patterns and paradigms, such as Event-Driven Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, API Gateway patterns, Domian-Driven Development, and Behavior-Driven Development

• Nice to have: Experience working with functional programming, Kubernetes, Kafka and Scrum processes.

• Energy Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the power systems domain is a plus but not required.
