The Danish Centre for Health Economics (DaCHE) at the Department of Public HealthFaculty of Health SciencesUniversity of Southern Denmark is looking for applicant for two full time fully financed PhD positions. Start date is 1st of September 2026 or soon thereafter. 

We are looking for persons with a master’s degree or equivalent in economics, health economics, data science, public health, or a related field. 

 

Research environment

The Danish Centre for Health Economics is dedicated to applying empirical methods, as well as economic theory, to answer research questions with high health policy relevance, and to contribute to the improvement of the methods applied. Our main research themes are 1) health related behaviour, incentives and motivation; 2) understanding barriers and facilitators that hinder/enhance equity in health and access to health care; 3) eliciting patients' and the publics' preferences and values; 4) evaluating costs and effects of new interventions/policies and 5) measuring burden of disease. We offer courses at the bachelor, master or PhD level in Health Economics, Evaluation, Economic Evaluation, Economics of Prevention, Pharmacoeconomics and Registry Analysis. Project description

Do you want to contribute to the challenging task of prioritizing in health care? Both PhD projects will address the prioritization of health care and the elicitation of citizens’ preferences through robust quantitative research. One of the projects employs causal inference methods to identify the implications of drug shortages and supply security, while both projects leverage advanced stated preference methodologies.

 

PhD Project 1: 

  • Identification and quantification of the consequences of medical disruptions for patient health and health system performance using causal inference approaches.

  • Elicitation of citizens’ valuations of supply security employing appropriately designed stated preference methods.

  • Elicitation of citizens’ valuations of health improvements employing appropriately designed stated preference methods.

  • Elicitation of efficiency-equity trade-offs

  • Identifying the importance of altruism in shaping citizens’ preference

 

PhD Project 2: 

  •  Elicitation of citizens’ valuations of health improvements employing appropriately designed stated preference methods.

  • Elicitation of efficiency-equity trade-offs

  • Identifying the importance of altruism in shaping citizens’ preference

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, health economics, data science, public health, or a related field

  • Strong proficiency in quantitative methods, including statistical analysis and econometrics

  • Experience with survey design and preference elicitation techniques is an advantage

  • Familiarity with causal inference methods and/or health care data analysis is desirable

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary research team

  • Previous research experience is an advantage

Salary and Working Conditions at SDU

PhD students employed at SDU are employed as PhD fellows according to the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations in public employment (AC) agreement.


Salary and any salary supplement are paid according to your seniority level and as negotiated with your union representative. The base salary (excluding 18.07% pension contribution) is DKK 374,912.98.

At DTU Wind, we are looking for a student assistant to help us with practical tasks related to video production and online course development in DigiWind project , funded by Digital Europe Programme. You will support our team in preparing, recording, editing, and publishing educational content while gaining hands-on experience in a professional academic environment. The role is well-suited to a student with an interest in video, media production, and digital learning tools.

The job
Your main focus will be contributing to the production of high-quality videos for online teaching, including lectures, interviews, equipment demonstrations, software tutorials, etc. for DigiWind Lifelong Learning modules, Coursera, and the online Master of Wind Energy . You'll also participate in the podcast production and help create video and audio content for marketing and communication purposes. In addition, you'll assist with content management on our learning platform, DTU Learn (Brightspace) and video publishing platform, Panopto. We are currently building a new video and podcast studio, and we need you to support us with filling it with activities that turn into creative, high-quality learning content.

Our expectations of you
We are looking for a student assistant who:

  • is currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme, preferably within film, media, communication or a related field
  • has an interest in video production and/or digital learning
  • has some experience with video editing or recording, for example from studies, student jobs or personal projects
  • is structured, curious and willing to learn
  • enjoys working with different types of people and supporting colleagues in practical tasks
  • has good English skills, as English is our daily working language
  • can work independently on clearly defined tasks with guidance from the team.

Experience with video animation design and development is an advantage.

Some of the tasks involved are trivial, e.g. setting up text, images, assignments and uploading resources to DTU Learn. We aim at developing content templates for this and your help and input for a systematic approach to this would be appreciated.

Salary and appointment terms

Working hours are on average 15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 1 August 2026 (or according to mutual agreement). The employment runs as long as you are an active student.

The main workplace is DTU Risø Campus. Some work is also being carried out at the Lyngby Campus.

Jeg er en gutt på snart 6 år som bor sammen med mamma og min storebror. Jeg har flere diagnoser, men det som du bør vite spesielt om er epilepsien min. Jeg er multisyk og lungesyk/hjertesyk. Jeg kan bevege meg, men trenger assistanse til alt av forflytning og personlig hygiene. Medisinske apparatet som vi sammen må bli venner med er bi-pap (pustemaskin) og forstøver som er i daglig bruk. Trenger bistand til forflytning og mobilisering, stimulering, og noen flere bestevenner på laget. Jeg har også CVK, PEG, og er på matpumpe hele døgnet.

Pusten min kan skremme oss, og noen ganger snur tilværelsen svært fort og du som skal bli min venn: må ha tæl til og stå i dette sammen med meg! ALT dette får du opplæring til!

Jeg elsker alt i fra å sitte på fanget og få kos, til å ligge på gulvet og leke. Her kan jeg leke med heisekranen og klosser. Selv om jeg har en fysisk funksjonsnedsettelse skjønner jeg alt det som foregår rundt meg og jeg klarer å kommunisere det jeg ønsker - mye med tegn til tale.

Livet mitt kan snu på sekunder, slik at det er viktig at du kan tørre å stå sammen med meg uansett hvor jeg er. Sykehuset er i perioder mitt andre hjem.

VOS RESPONSABILITES comme Technicien en électricité:

  • Vous exécutez des travaux d’entretien, de dépannage et de modification sur des équipements électriques (BT, HT, instrumentation, automates, …) tels que :

· Le remplacement et paramétrage d’instruments de mesures, de convertisseurs de mesures, de capteurs de proximités, de cartes I/O, …

· Le dépannage de tiroirs d’un TGBT

· Le diagnostic de dysfonctionnements sur base des enregistrements du DCS (systèmes de contrôles)

· Recherche de pannes sur plans et dans les installations

· L’entretien récurrent des équipements électriques de la centrale (mesures d’isolement, nettoyage, serrage bornes, calibration de capteurs, tests fonctionnels, …)

  • Vous exécutez ces tâches sous la supervision du Chef d’équipe et du Responsable de Service
  • Vous êtes amené, à terme, à préparer les travaux du service (internes et sous-traités) d’un point de vue technique et administratif : rédaction de cahiers de charge, commandes de pièces et/ou de services, préparation des permis de travail et des demandes de consignations, clôture de chantiers, etc.
  • Vous rédigez des rapports décrivant les interventions réalisées

Coo-Hydro est une entité constituée de la centrale de pompage-turbinage de Coo délivrant une puissance de 1080MW, ainsi que de 3 barrages (à Bütgenbach, Robertville et sur la Vierre (Chiny), d’un plan d’eau (Lorcé) et de 6 centrales hydroélectriques au fil de l’eau (Heid de Goreux, Bévercé, Bütgenbachk, la Vierre, Lorcé et Stavelot).
