The Role
We are looking for an experienced coffee professional who is passionate about exceptional customer service and exceptional coffee. This barista will play a central role in the daily operation of the shop, as well as sharing their knowledge with more junior hires.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for specialty coffee (espresso & filter) and at least 2 years of experience in the field. They should be committed to high standards for coffee and service and have the ability to share their passion with guests and co-workers alike.
They should:

Responsibilities
Operations:
- Deliver great customer service
- Brew delicious coffee (filter & espresso) and non coffee drinks
- Perform all the other café tasks
- Assist shop managers with stock counts
Coffee:
- Creating great tasting recipes for espresso (daily dial-in)
- Having a strong knowledge of the guest coffees currently on shelves and on menus
- Engaging with our customers about these exciting coffees and helping them explore the world of specialty coffee
About you
Required
- Be detail oriented and understand how to create an amazing customer experience
- Be passionate about coffee & dedicated to continuously improve its quality
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong sensory skills - have the ability to tweak coffee parameters to influence taste
- Have 2+ years of experience working as a Barista
- Must be available 1 week-end day per week
- be able to communicate comfortably in English
Desired (but not mandatory)
- Speak Dutch / French
- Have a good understanding of POS systems (Lightspeed)
Salary
- The starting salary for this role is 15,7€/h (~2585,27€/m) gross
- Yearly 13th month bonus
Contract
- 38h per week (digital time clocking system)
- 6 months fixed length contract x2 followed by long-term CDI
- Based in Brussels 🇧🇪
