The Technical Supervisor serves as the technical lead within the venue, overseeing show operations, equipment maintenance, and the development of the technical team. This role ensures that every performance is delivered safely, efficiently, and consistently.

Our client operates with two Technical Supervisors who share responsibility for the technical department. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires sound decision-making under pressure, strong technical expertise, and a proactive approach within a live entertainment environment.

Key Responsibilities

Show Operations

Monitor and operate all technical systems during performances, including lighting, audio, video, special effects, and show control systems.

Execute pre-show and post-show procedures consistently and accurately.

Respond promptly to technical incidents and carry out troubleshooting, resets, and recovery procedures as required.

Maintenance

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks across all technical systems.

Carry out repairs, replace consumable components, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Ensure all technical areas remain clean, organised, and secure.

Team Leadership

Lead and coordinate the technical team during shifts in collaboration with the second Technical Supervisor.

Train, coach, and develop Technical Operators in both show operation and maintenance activities.

Foster professional, clear, and solution-oriented communication within the team.

Process & Compliance

Maintain technical documentation, equipment logs, and operational checklists to a high standard.

Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and report any hazards immediately.

Support risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews when required
