Operating at the intersection of process systems engineering, data-driven modeling, and applied AI, this position focuses heavily on conducting advanced data evaluations and hands-on technology testing for SMEs in Luxembourg across six economic sectors: manufacturing, transport & logistics, construction & craftsmanship, skilled crafts, wholesale & retail trade, and the hospitality sector. Additionally, the researcher will transfer this field's expertise directly to the ecosystem by designing and delivering specialized technical training modules. The ideal candidate is a practical innovator, comfortable operating at the interface between academic research and industry. • Deliver Data Readiness Assessments & Roadmaps: Evaluate SME data availability, quality, interoperability, and data infrastructure maturity across critical business and operational processes. Translate these findings from an engineering perspective into a prioritized roadmap. • Execute Agentic AI-Driven Technology Testing & EDA: Lead short, hypothesis-driven prototyping and exploratory data analysis (EDA) using real or representative industrial datasets. Evaluate and deploy modern AI technologies, including LLM-based assistants, agentic workflows and automation pipelines where appropriate.
