SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Degree(s) required / ideal degree(s): Masters-level Degree in Cognitive and/or Behavioral (neuro)science, experimental psychology or equivalent.

This position is open for junior profiles (ideally 0-3 years of experience) / experienced profiles (ideally 3 years of experience minimum).

However, young graduates are also encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate that they will hold the required diploma by the start date of the contract.

MAIN TASKS

• You keep up with the latest developments in the field of cryptography.
• You interact with project partners and within the cryptography group.
• You gain a deep understanding of (post-quantum) cryptography and QKD.

FOD Financiën is op zoek naar toekomstige businessanalisten voor de Algemene Administratie van de Douane en Accijnzen (AAD&A): gemotiveerde medewerkers met een analytische, scherpe geest, die bereid zijn om toekomstige uitdagingen het hoofd te bieden.

Een businessanalist richt zich op het analyseren van behoeften en procesoptimalisatie binnen de verschillende administraties van de FOD Financiën. Als schakel tussen de business (de administraties) en de IT-afdeling (Stafdienst ICT) identificeert een businessanalist problemen en kansen en vertaalt deze naar strategische oplossingen. Een businessanalist werkt nauw samen met de administraties om businessvereisten te definiëren en geeft ondersteuning bij het opstellen van businesscases en werkpakketten in functie van de afgesproken planning ("roadmaps").

 

Hieronder een greep uit je takenpakket:

• Je voert interviews en organiseert workshops om de wensen, behoeften, eisen (¿requirements¿) en bedrijfsregels (¿business rules¿) van de business te identificeren, te definiëren en te analyseren. Oog voor detail is essentieel in deze functie. Daarnaast verzamel je via gerichte en diepgaande vragen alle nodige informatie, zodat je deze nadien gestructureerd kan verwerken.
• Je vertaalt de behoeften van de gebruikers (¿requirements¿) en de bedrijfsregels (¿business rules¿) zo volledig, concreet en duidelijk mogelijk, zodat een functioneel analist tot een effectieve oplossing kan komen.
• Je bewaakt en beheert de eisen (¿requirements¿) en vertaalt deze naar functionaliteiten van de toepassing.
• Je analyseert bedrijfsprocessen in hun geheel en identificeert opportuniteiten voor optimalisatie.
• Je levert gestructureerde analyses die de besluitvorming ondersteunen met betrekking tot applicatie-evoluties en bedrijfsprocessen.
• Je structureert en prioriteert de eisen (¿business requirements¿) en waakt over de globale coherentie ervan gedurende de volledige levenscyclus van het project.
• Je houdt rekening met de behoeften van de organisatie en stimuleert de reflectie om toepassingen te optimaliseren. Daarbij denk je kritisch na, formuleer je verbetervoorstellen (LEAN, ...) en reik je innovatieve alternatieven aan. Je identificeert risico's en knelpunten (¿bottlenecks¿).
• Je test en evalueert de resultaten van ICT¿toepassingen om te verzekeren dat ze voldoen aan de vereisten van de organisatie. Je koppelt deze feedback op een duidelijke en gestructureerde manier terug naar het ICT-team.
• Je adviseert en begeleidt interne klanten binnen het domein bij de implementatie en het gebruik van instrumenten en methodes, volgens de normen van de organisatie.
• Je zorgt ervoor dat toepassingen tijdig klaar zijn en optimaal functioneren, en je begeleidt het correcte en efficiënte gebruik ervan.
• Je ondersteunt andere businessanalisten en projectmanagers bij procesverbeterings- en IT-ontwikkelingsprojecten.
• Je bent de drijvende kracht achter de voorbereiding van initiatieven en business cases.
• Je blijft op de hoogte van de ontwikkelingen binnen je vakgebied en ontwikkelt je vaardigheden voortdurend verder.

MAIN TASKS

• Investigate and analyse candidate material combinations for a SCOG that provides the desired flow of oxygen over the fuel ignition temperature, based on literature studies and experimental work;
• Carry out a safety study of the materials and their handling;
• Supervise laboratory and field tests to characterise the performance, sensitivity and ageing characteristics of the material;
• Design and test of a SCOG prototype to parametrize its performance;
• Design and test of a SCOG hybrid rocket motor to demonstrate the feasibility of the concept;
• Publish research outcomes in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at relevant conferences.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Degree required: Master's degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences in the field of Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Sciences or Mechanical Engineering.This position is open for junior profiles (ideally 0-3 years of experience).
