CFD Analysis Engineer
Netherlands, THOLEN
- CFD Analysis Engineer Netherlands Full-time Mid-Senior As CFD Analysis Engineer you put numbers behind every silencer and exhaust system we design. You model the flow, the acoustics and the back-pressure, and you find the configuration that meets the noise target without costing the engine more back-pressure than the supplier will accept. Your results feed directly into the mechanical design and into the performance figures we guarantee to customers, on equipment for engines and turbines from MAN, Wärtsilä, Caterpillar and others. What you'll do - Build and run CFD models of silencers, SCR reactors and complete exhaust lines. - Optimise the three-way trade-off between noise attenuation, back-pressure and flow distribution across the real load profile, not just the design point. - Model mixing and ammonia distribution upstream of SCR catalyst beds. - Translate results into clear recommendations for the design team and into the performance values we commit to. - Build and maintain validated modelling workflows so results stay consistent and repeatable. - Compare predictions against shop and field measurements, and close the loop on the models. What you bring - An MSc in Mechanical, Aerospace or a related engineering discipline. - 3+ years of hands-on CFD, ideally on flow and/or acoustics problems. - Command of a CFD solver (ANSYS Fluent, CFX or OpenFOAM) and a clear grasp of turbulence and meshing. - Acoustic CFD or aeroacoustics experience is a strong plus. - The judgement to know when a model is good enough and when it needs more, and the ability to explain results to non-specialists. - Professional English; Dutch is welcome but not required. What we offer - Real influence: your analysis sets the performance we sell and ship. - Demanding, varied problems across marine, power and industrial applications. - A collaborative engineering team with direct access to test and field data. - Competitive salary and benefits, the possibilit...
Sales Engineer
Netherlands, HENDRIK-IDO-AMBACHT
AxcesAxces - Sales Engineer Netherlands Full-time Mid-level - Pressure vessels (PED) - Acoustics - Technical sales As Sales Engineer at Axces Steam & Flow Control (ASFC) you sit where engineering meets commerce. ASFC, one of Axces Group's four divisions, designs and supplies vent silencers, diffusers, in-line dampeners and pulsation dampeners for EPC parties and industrial process installations. Every project is custom-engineered, never a catalogue product, so each enquiry needs its own calculation and solution. You run the technical substantiation: strength calculations on pressure vessels and their PED class, acoustic calculations for our dampeners, and strength and nozzle-load calculations on supports. Those calculations you translate into customer drawings and into sharp, well-founded quotations, working closely with our Sales Manager. You are not on your own. You get focused support and training from our Senior Engineer on the technical side, and work day to day with the Sales Manager on the commercial side, reporting to both. The fine detailing stays elsewhere in the team; this role is about the technical case behind an enquiry and its translation to the customer. You are based in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, with hybrid working. What you'll do - Work with our Sales Manager to develop incoming enquiries into technically substantiated quotations. - Perform strength calculations on pressure vessels and determine the correct PED pressure class. - Produce acoustic calculations for vent silencers, diffusers, in-line and pulsation dampeners. - Carry out strength calculations on supports and nozzle-load calculations. - Set up customer drawings for offers and customer approval. - Build your expertise under the guidance of our Senior Engineer. What you bring - MBO+ in mechanical engineering or similar, with demonstrable work experience. What you have already built and calculated counts for more than the diploma. - Analytical and precise: str...
