For an international manufacturer in the Aalst region, we are looking for an enthusiastic Injection Moulding Technician who will be responsible for safely changing moulds, starting up machines and optimizing the complete injection moulding process.
You will work in a two-shift system:
- Early shift: 06:00–14:00
- Late shift: 14:00–22:00
As an Injection Moulding Technician, you are an essential part of the production team. Thanks to your technical knowledge, mould changes are carried out efficiently and the machines continue to perform optimally.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Carrying out mould changes according to the production schedule.
- Preparing mould changes and gathering all required materials.
- Safely dismantling, installing and adjusting moulds.
- Correctly starting up, setting and releasing production.
- Setting and monitoring injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Monitoring and optimizing the complete injection moulding process.
- Analysing and resolving first-line technical issues involving machines, moulds and auxiliary equipment.
- Performing quality checks and promptly reporting any deviations.
- Supporting and guiding operators during production.
- Ensuring the correct supply of raw materials and monitoring regrind material.
- Actively contributing to process improvements and reducing downtime.
- Working according to applicable safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Helping to maintain an orderly and safe production environment.
You are a technically skilled person with a passion for plastics processing and production optimization.
In addition, you have:
- A technical qualification (A2, Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in an injection moulding environment.
- Knowledge of starting up, setting and adjusting injection moulding machines.
- Experience with mould changes.
- Knowledge of plastics processing, process parameters and quality control.
- Experience with 2K injection moulding is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of ABB robots or industrial automation is a plus.
- Experience operating an overhead crane, forklift or electric pallet truck. Relevant certificates are an advantage.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- A solution-oriented and proactive attitude.
- Good communication skills and a genuine team spirit.
