The Department of Ecoscience invites applications for a tenure track position as assistant professor in catchment-scale hydrological modelling. The position aims to strengthen and complement the Department’s ongoing activities in catchment-scale modelling of nutrient and contaminant transport in agricultural systems.

Job description

You will be part of the Aarhus University SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) modelling group. We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to advance next‑generation modelling approaches at the interface of agriculture, hydrology, ecology, and socio‑environmental systems. You will contribute to the development of integrated assessment frameworks that support sustainable land‑use transitions and climate adaptation at local, regional, and national scales.
The position involves modelling agricultural production and land‑management dynamics and their impacts on water quantity and quality under changing environmental and socio‑economic conditions, focusing on phenological development and crop yields under climate variability and future scenarios (e.g., agro‑forestry systems and other management interventions), and integrating SWAT+ outputs with life‑cycle assessment modules. Furthermore, to enhance the group’s capacity to capture land to sea connectivity, you will help build tighter linkages between SWAT+ and downstream aquatic models that assess the impacts of pollutant loads on marine ecology, water quality, and ecosystem services.
You will be expected to publish your research in peer-reviewed scientific journals and technical reports, write research proposals for external funding, and supervise MSc and PhD students. Where required, you will apply your research findings to contribute to the Department’s science-based policy support activities for the Danish government. You will collaborate closely with researchers from the Section for Freshwater Ecology, especially the Computational Limnology group and the Nature-Based Solutions Center (C-NBS) while developing an independent research profile.
 

Your profile

We are searching for a highly motivated candidate who has:

• A PhD in hydrology, environmental engineering, environmental science, geography, ecology, or a related field
• Strong experience in hydrological modelling
• Proficiency in R and/or Python
• Experience with GIS and remote sensing
• Ability to work with large and heterogeneous datasets
• Experience with scientific writing
• Excellent written and spoken English

Further, we will give preference to candidates with some of the following qualifications:

• Knowledge of crop and plant growth processes and modelling
• Familiarity with Danish agricultural systems

Technical Sciences Tenure Track

The Department of Biomedicine at Faculty of Health at Aarhus University invites applications for one or more Postdoc positions in the field of Environmental toxicants in Parkinson’s disease as per 1 August 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. PACE - Lundbeck Foundation Parkinson’s Disease Research Center

You will be also part of PACE, the newly established Lundbeck Foundation Parkinson’s Disease Research Center, which is a translational research center focused on studies of Lewy body diseases. PACE consists of a close-knit community of world-leading research groups in basic and clinical Parkinson’s disease research, wherein a number of novel group leaders will be embedded. The center comprises research programs in clinical research and trials, longitudinal cohort building, multi-modal imaging, biobanks, epidemiology, neuropathology, wearables and biotech, experimental disease models including animal and cell models, and basic science programs in alpha-synuclein patho-mechanisms, neuroimmunology, and biomarker discovery. In two years, we expect to comprise 7-9 group leaders totaling 70+ researchers, students, and support staff. PACE is part of and collaborate closely with both Aarhus University, which is consistently ranked as one of the world’s top 100 universities, and Aarhus University Hospital, which in 2024 was elected Denmark’s best hospital for the 15th time.

PACE’s mission is to take research in Parkinson’s disease to the highest level possible and to improve life for people with Parkinson’s disease or other neurodegenerative disorders. We focus on discovering and validating novel innovative tools, biomarkers and disease-modifying mechanisms, which within a 10-year time frame will be applied in clinical trials. About the research project

Candidates will be part of a research group investigating the in-vivo interaction of selected environmental toxicants with Parkinson’s disease pathology and risk in pre-clinical rodent models of the disease. The candidate will use different disease-modelling approaches and assess causative association of different environmental toxins with brain pathology in WT and/or rodent models of LRRK2 and GBA variants.

You will be employed in the project Connecting the environmental exposome to PD risk and disease pathology.  This project is funded through an externally financed research grant. The project is part of the Health Faculty at AU and PACE – Lundbeck Foundation Parkinson’s disease Research Center at AUH. Close interaction and constant scientific exchange with the teams and the collaborators (both academics and clinicians) will be essential for the advancement of the project.

Your job responsibilities

As Postdoc in Biomedicine your position is primarily research-based but may also involve teaching assignments. You will contribute to the development of the department through research of high international quality. In your daily work, you will work closely with colleagues on your project, where you will receive supervision and guidance.
The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for all the in-vivo modeling by performing stereotaxic surgery in rats, behavioral analysis, postmortem brain histology for advanced microscopy analysis of neurons and glia and peripheral organ collection for cell isolation and immune profiling through Spectral/Flow Cytometry and/or RNAseq. You will be responsible for all data analysis.

You will report to the Head of Department of Biomedicine.

Your competences

Successful candidates will have an excellent track record and will be highly motivated, self-driven candidate, with a PhD in neurodegenerative disorders using rodent models, and proven experience on analysis of the neurodegenerative and/or inflammatory processes occurring in these types of diseases. Priority will be given to those with experience in the field of Parkinson’s disease and the role of alpha-synuclein, GBA/LRRK2 mutations, and/or the field of neurodegeneration associated with environmental toxicants.
The postdoctoral fellow will work in close collaboration with other fellows and students in the lab, and collaborative skills will be highly important for the success in carrying out the planned research.
Therefore, you are a highly motivated and independent researcher with proven experience on:

• A) in-vivo pre-clinical models of neurodegeneration (ideally alpha-synuclein, GBA and/or LRRK2) OR/AND B) environmental toxicants and their association with neurodegeneration
• In-vivo methods focused on brain stereotaxic surgery and rodent behavioural testing
• Postmortem neuroanatomical methods: brain tissue processing and histology
• Different advanced imaging and microscopy techniques, including image analysis
• Experience with peripheral tissue handling (ex: spleen, blood, gut) is a plus
• Experience in flow cytometry and/or transcriptomic techniques are not necessary but will be an advantage
• You have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

The successful candidate is expected to have strong skills in English, show mobility in his/her CV, and to have a demonstrated scientific track record, including two publications in a peer-reviewed scientific journal within a relevant field with at least one first authorship. Prior teaching experience will be also considered a plus.

As a person, you have good interpersonal skills, are inclusive and team-oriented and able to contribute to a good work environment. We expect you to be fluent in oral and written English.

Jouw functie

Als Full-stack .NET/Angular Developer werk je mee aan het uitdenken, ontwikkelen en implementeren van end-to-end oplossingen voor uiteenlopende klanten.

• Je vertaalt complexe vraagstukken naar gebruiksvriendelijke applicaties, op maat van wat de klant écht nodig heeft.
• Op basis van mock-ups bouw je front-ends die precies aansluiten bij het ontwerp, terwijl je de back-end zo ontwikkelt dat alle aanvragen foutloos en efficiënt worden verwerkt.
• Je zet functionele noden om naar technische oplossingen en helpt de softwarearchitectuur vorm te geven.
• Je neemt deel aan code reviews, sprintplanning en releasecycli en overlegt geregeld met het team om samen het beste resultaat te bereiken.
• In deze rol krijg je de vrijheid om projecten zelfstandig op te pakken maar je kan ook rekenen op de support van de collega’s. Je rapporteert rechtstreeks aan de zaakvoerder en werkt flexibel: thuis, bij de klant of af en toe op kantoor.

• Je hebt minstens vier jaar ervaring met .NET, bent vertrouwd met Angular en wilt je ervaring in front-end, back-end of full-stack verder uitbouwen in uitdagende projecten.
• .NET 8, EF Core, Azure Functions, Angular 19, Nx monorepo, Azure Pipelines, Bicep en Docker zijn voor jou vertrouwde begrippen.
• Front-end, back-end of full-stack: je hebt uitgebreide kennis van HTML, CSS en TypeScript, bouwt stabiele REST API’s en SQL-queries schrijven gaat je vlot af.
• Je denkt vooruit en durft je stempel te drukken: oog voor detail en kwaliteit zit in jouw DNA, en je komt met ideeën die projecten net dat tikkeltje extra geven.
• Agile software ontwikkeling is een extra plus.
• Je communiceert vlot met collega’s en klanten, en weet dat een vleugje droge humor de beste bugs oplost: figuurlijk dan toch.

Je bouwt niet alleen modellen. Je bouwt hoe een hele organisatie werkt.

Je zit hier niet gewoon Revit-modellen te tekenen. Jij zorgt dat alles erachter klopt, slimmer wordt en beter loopt. Deze rol is er voor iemand die BIM echt wil doortrekken naar hoe een bouwbedrijf werkt, niet alleen naar hoe het tekent.

Je komt terecht in een groeiende bouworganisatie die volop inzet op digitalisering. 

Geen buzzwords, wel concrete stappen vooruit. Jij bent daarin een sleutelfiguur.

Hoe ziet je job eruit in de praktijk?

Je ontwikkelt en verbetert Revit templates en families zodat collega’s efficiënter kunnen werken. 

Niet één project, maar structureel.

Je zorgt voor een uniforme BIM-aanpak over verschillende teams heen. 

Dat betekent afstemmen, bijsturen en soms ook gewoon zeggen: zo gaan we het doen.

Je vertaalt vragen van projectteams naar werkbare oplossingen. 

Soms technisch, soms procesmatig. Vaak een combinatie van beide.

Je ondersteunt collega’s in het gebruik van BIM-tools. 

Niet door alles over te nemen, wel door hen beter te maken.

Je denkt actief mee over de BIM-strategie en hoe die in de praktijk landt.

Je volgt trends en tools op en beslist wat relevant is en wat gewoon hype is.

Kort gezegd: jij maakt BIM werkbaar, schaalbaar en toekomstgericht.nt.

Je hoeft geen perfecte checklist te zijn, maar dit helpt wel:

• Je hebt een stevige ervaring met BIM en Revit. Je weet waar je mee bezig bent.
• Je begrijpt bouwprocessen en kan technische logica vertalen naar digitale oplossingen.
• Je denkt in structuren, standaarden en verbeteringen.
• Je hebt feeling met tools zoals Autodesk ACC, IFC, en idealiter ook Dynamo of gelijkaardige automatisatie.
• Je werkt analytisch en ziet snel waar het beter kan.
• Je kan mensen meenemen in verandering zonder te forceren.
• Je communiceert helder en blijft rustig als het complex wordt.
• Een hogere opleiding is mooi meegenomen, maar ervaring en inzicht wegen hier minstens even zwaar.

Twijfel je of dit “het moment” is? Dat is meestal net het juiste moment om eens te praten.

Wij bekijken jouw situatie discreet en eerlijk. Geen druk, geen snelle push. Gewoon een goed gesprek om te zien of dit een stap vooruit kan zijn.

Voor onze klant, gespecialiseerd in diverse dranken, zijn we op zoek naar een productie operator. Er wordt gewerkt in dagploeg: maandag-donderdag van 8u tot 16u30 en vrijdag van 8u tot 14u30.

De job bevat twee luiken: operator en mengzaal. Onderstaande kan je de taken vinden per luik.

Operator (50%)

• Bedienen van machines in de productieruimte.

• Controle op goede werking machines en melden van eventuele mankementen.

• Opkuis werkplaats.

• Uitvoeren van verschillende manuele en bijzondere taken tijdens het productieproces (bv vullen en maken van displays, extra kuisen, herwerken enz...).

• Bijdragen tot het optimaal werken van productielijn.

• Uitvoeren van kwaliteitscontroles en het correct en volledig invullen van desbetreffende documenten, in opdracht van en in samenwerking met labo.

• Algemeen onderhoud productieruimte, afvalpark, om en rond de gebouwen.

• Orde en netheid displaymagazijn.

• Aflossen collega operator.

• Meewerken aan voorraadtellingen.

• Strikte opvolging van CCP's.

• Al deze taken worden als opdracht door de productieverantwoordelijke gegeven en worden nooit zonder overleg uitgevoerd.

• Voert taken uit volgens BRC – IFS eisen

Mengzaal (50%)

• Aanmaken van afgewerkte producten volgens vooropgestelde planning en instructies.

• Aanmaken van tussenproducten.

• Opvolgen voorraden en vervaldatum van alle grondstoffen.

• Ontvangst van alle grondstoffen in samenwerking met kwaliteitsdienst volgens vooropgestelde instructies.

• Bevoorrading bottellijn volgens vooropgestelde planning in samenwerking met labo en productieverantwoordelijke.

• Opvolgen van reinigingsprocedures van mengzaal, bottelarij (leidingen en vulmachines).

• Orde en netheid in mengzalen en opslagplaatsen van grondstoffen.

• Meewerken aan trimestriële voorraadtelling.

• Uitvoeren van bijzondere taken.

• Strikte opvolging van de CCP's.

• Houdt zich strikt aan opgelegde veiligheidseisen.

• Assisteert en vervangt laborant in de daartoe opgeleide taken (laboanalyses).

• Voert zijn taak uit volgens BRC – IFS eisen
