As Senior Engineer & Coach, your focus will be to integrate the new engineers into Base Maintenance, developing their technical skills through coaching & mentoring and also initiating, pioneering and promoting excellent maintenance activities and behaviours throughout the Base Maintenance facility.
In this role, you’ll report to the H40 Capacity Manager.
ABOUT THE JOB
- Integrating New Engineers
- Coordinate and deliver induction training for new starters
- Work with your team of new recruits on aircraft, training them in all aspects of an aircraft engineer's job and related company procedures whilst exercising your own certification responsibilities
- Organise your work according to the practical training schedule you have established
- Impart knowledge, know-how and interpersonal skills by educating and assisting them to carry out maintenance tasks correctly
- Introduce and train new colleagues on our tools, test sets and ground support equipment; set up and provide training to all staff when new tooling is introduced or specific tooling requires additional training
- Ensure work instructions and safety rules are applied and adhered to
- Collaborate closely with Chief Licensed Engineers, operational management and the training department to organise and coordinate the practical training plan for engineers
- Monitor and report on engineers' progress using a skills matrix method
- Contribute to increasing TUI's Base Maintenance capacity through a structured training plan, suggesting areas for improvement in training and efficiency; identify and formulate improvements to the induction and training process
- Independently assess and validate the skills of junior engineers, adapting the training programme if necessary, in consultation with the Chief Licensed Engineers, Check Managers and Base Maintenance Manager
- Harmonising / Improving Maintenance Practices within the Hangar
- Provide "technical and best practice" expertise to all production staff, including Chief Licensed Engineers where appropriate, to ensure product conformity and the smooth running of the company's processes

ABOUT YOU
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience, with in-depth knowledge of good aviation practices and aircraft maintenance principles
- Experienced EASA licence B1 (or B1/B2) on 737NG/Max type ratings
- Good knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulation
- Good understanding of EASA SMS requirements
- Technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance and problem-solving methods and techniques
- Good educational skills and excellent verbal communicator
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and requirements
- Excellent knowledge of company's engineering operating systems
- Excellent leadership skills, serious, attentive, respectful of rules, computer literate
- Good command of English; ability to communicate in French and Dutch is a plus
- Team player, culturally aware and have a 'can-do' attitude

About the role
At Proximus Global, we’re looking for a Mobile Core Engineer to join our SIM for Things (SFT) team.
In this role, you will design and deliver end-to-end mobile core solutions for IoT connectivity, working at the intersection of technology, product, and operations. From requirements to production, you’ll take ownership of solutions and help shape the evolution of our platforms.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions and a seamless customer experience.
What you’ll do
- Design and validate technical solutions aligned with business, operational, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the roadmap and evolution of mobile core platforms
- Lead or support end-to-end implementation projects (design, rollout, optimisation)
- Draft and review functional & technical specifications and RFPs
- Drive architecture and impact analysis, and produce technical documentation
- Collaborate closely with operations, product, and marketing teams
- Act as a technical reference point, supporting internal and external stakeholders
What you bring
- Experience & technical expertise
- Degree in Telecommunications, IT, or related field
- ~6+ years of experience in a telecom or IT environment
- Strong experience with IoT / M2M connectivity platforms (SFT)
Solid understanding of:
- eSIM & Remote SIM Provisioning (GSMA SGP.31/32)
- SIM lifecycle management & provisioning workflows
- Multi-tenant environments & large-scale device connectivity
- Experience with SIM file systems, applets, and SIM ordering processes
➕ Nice to have
- Knowledge of mobile core components (2G/3G/LTE – HLR, HSS, PCRF, etc.)
- Understanding of protocols: HTTP, SS7, Diameter, MAP, GTP
- Experience in roaming, IoT, MVNO/MVNE environments
- End-to-end view of mobile core architecture and call flows
