About EDL
EDL is a Copenhagen-based design engineering studio. We build design systems, run UX research, and ship production-ready front-end code for B2B SaaS companies across Europe. Our designers work directly in our clients' codebases — no handoff, no translation layer. We are a team of nine, and we are growing.
The role
We are looking for a Head of Marketing to own EDL's brand, visibility, and demand generation end to end. You will be our first and only dedicated marketing hire, reporting directly to the CEO. This is a hands-on leadership role: you set the strategy and you execute it.
You will:
Own EDL's marketing strategy, positioning, and messaging toward B2B SaaS decision-makers (product, design, and engineering leadership)
Drive lead generation and build a repeatable pipeline of qualified inbound opportunities for the studio
Run our PR efforts: press outreach, media relations, and thought-leadership placement in design and tech media
Source and secure speaking engagements at industry conferences and events across Europe, and prepare speakers and material for them
Grow EDL's audience and reach across owned channels (website, LinkedIn, newsletter) with measurable exposure targets
Produce and edit content — case studies, articles, talks — that demonstrates our work in design systems, UX research, and design engineering
Report on marketing performance directly to the Founder and adjust strategy based on what the numbers say
What we are looking for
Several years of experience in B2B marketing, communications, or PR — ideally in or around SaaS, design, or professional services
A track record of generating leads and measurable exposure for a company or brand, not just producing content
Experience with press relations and/or placing speakers at industry events
Excellent written and spoken English; you will write copy that goes out under our name
Comfortable operating alone: strategy, execution, and reporting are all yours in a nine-person company
Understanding of (or strong interest in) design, UX, and how software gets built — you will be marketing technical work to technical buyers
Danish language skills are a plus but not a requirement. We work in English.
What we offer
Total annual compensation of DKK 450,000–520,000 depending on experience, including pension and benefits
A senior, autonomous role with direct influence on the company's direction
An office in Gothersgade, Copenhagen, and a small team of experienced designers and engineers who ship real product
Conference attendance and a real budget to build marketing from the ground up
How to apply
Send your CV and a short note on the most effective marketing result you have personally driven — what you did, and what it produced — to fa@edl.dk. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
