The Department of Political Science at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University, is seeking ambitious and dedicated scholars to join one of Europe’s leading political science environments, offering excellent opportunities to develop an international research profile and contribute to high-quality teaching. We invite applications for one or more positions as Assistant Professor in Political Science.
The assistant professorship is a full-time fixed-term position for up to four years starting in January 2027 or as soon as possible hereafter subject to mutual agreement.

Job description
The successful applicant is expected to contribute significantly to the department’s research and teaching environment and to the overall research strategy of the department.

We are hiring within the fields of one or more of these subjects:

• Public Administration
• Comparative Politics
• Political Behaviour
• International Relations
• Public Policy
• Political Sociology
• Political Theory

We expect you to teach and supervise students at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels and to carry out individual and group-based research of the highest international standard. We expect active participation in the activities of the department and the relevant subsection.

Your qualifications
1. Relevant PhD. Applicants are formally deemed qualified if they hold a PhD in political science or related fields. If the degree is not obtained yet, the applicant may start as research assistant and advance to an assistant professor position when the degree is granted. Applicants should have obtained their PhD within the past 0–3 years, and only in rare cases more than 3 years ago.

2. Teaching qualifications. The applicant documents teaching experience and positive evaluations of the teaching. The Department will prioritize candidates who demonstrate talent and ability to perform independent, high-quality teaching in subjects that contribute to the Department’s teaching portfolio.

3. Research qualifications. The applicant documents the ability to write high-quality research products publishable in outlets relevant for political science. The Department prioritizes applicants who demonstrate the talent and ability to produce solid and original research results and who are believed to be able to contribute to the further development of the Department’s research portfolio. To assess such talent and ability, publication in top political science or top field journals or with internationally recognized publishers is one element, however, the assessment panel’s evaluation of research quality carries the greatest weight, and the Department also welcomes applications from early-career scholars without publications but with high-quality working papers.

The research at the department covers most political science disciplines, including public administration, and represents a variety of methodological approaches. Terms of employment
The appointment is made in accordance with the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities as well as the circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics Employed by the State (in Danish). The position is at the level of Assistant Professor, with salary determined in accordance with the collective agreement.

The evaluation process
Shortlisting is applied. This means that an appointment committee (assisted by the chair of the assessment committee) advises the head of department on which applicants possess the qualifications, competencies, experience and potential described above under “Your qualifications”, notably in fields with specific departmental research and teaching needs.

Through the shortlisting process, the head of department selects the applicants who will receive a thorough assessment of their professional qualifications. The applicants will then be assessed by an expert assessment committee. All applicants will be notified whether or not their application has been shortlisted and forwarded to the assessment committee for evaluation. Shortlisted applicants will be informed about the composition of the committee.

I Ørsta kommune er det ledig eit vikariat som fastlege ved Ørsta helsesenter i perioden 04.08.2026 - 01.07.2027. Listetak på 650.

Det er ein fordel om du kan vere vikar i heile perioden, men vi vil også vurdere søknadar som ikkje dekker heile perioden og også seinare oppstart enn 04.08.26. 

Ørsta helsesenter er eit aksjedrive praksisfellesskap som har samarbeidsavtale med kommunen. Vi held til i nye, moderne lokale i Ørsta sentrum. Det er eit godt fagleg og sosialt miljø ved legesenteret, med fast møtestruktur for fagleg utvikling. Andre kommunale helsetenester er lokalisert i same bygg.

Legesenteret har 15 fastlegeheimlar og to stillingar for LIS 1. Det er ei fleire erfarne legar på legesenteret som har jobba her lenge, noko som har gitt eit godt og stabilt miljø. Det same gjeld hjelpepersonellet. Alle desse legane er spesialistar i allmennmedisin. I tillegg er her fleire ALIS-legar. Dersom det er aktuelt for deg, vil du få tilbod om ALIS-avtale.

Vilkår for drift av praksisen går fram av sentrale lover, forskrifter og avtalar som regulerer fastlegeordninga. Det er ein fordel om du ønsker å vere næringsdrivade fastlegevikar, men fast løn kan også vurderast.

Per i dag er det ikkje knytt kommunale allmennlegeoppgåver til heimelen. Legesenteret har både LIS1- og ALIS-legar og du må rekne med å delta i rettleiing og supervisjon av desse. Du må også rekne med å kunne få andre oppgåver dersom kommunen ser behov for det.

Kommunen har eigne sjukeheims- og helsestasjonslegar, og vi har kommuneoverlege i 100 % stilling

Legevakt på dagtid (8.00-15.30) er organisert på legesenteret. Utanfor vanleg opningstid er legevakt lokalisert i nye, gode lokale i Hovdebygda. Søre Sunnmøre legevakt er eit interkommunalt legevaktssamarbeid, der det alltid er sjukepleiar på jobb saman med legevaktslege. Legevakta har også eigen legevaktbil med ambulansearbeidar, som gjer legevaktsarbeidet meir mobilt. På legevakt er legane fastløna. Det er mange legar som deler på vaktene, så vaktbelastninga er ikkje stor.

As Head of Bakery Production, you will play a central role in ensuring our bakeries deliver top-quality baked goods every day. You’ll be a key partner to Gro, manager at 3 of our venues, and help drive the development of our production processes, product range, and team culture.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and organize the daily production of baked goods across our locations to ensure freshness and quality at all times
• Actively participate in production while maintaining high standards and efficient workflows
• Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and adapt our product offerings in line with customer preferences and market trends
• Follow established food safety and hygiene procedures (IK-mat) and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
• Support administrative tasks such as shift planning and recruitment

    Qualifications:

• Certificate of apprenticeship (fagbrev) as a baker or equivalent experience in food production

• Driver’s license (Class B)
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
