About the position
Position as PhD Research Fellow in Identity and Access Management available at Department of Informatics.
The fellowship period is three years.
Depending on the candidate and the teaching needs of the department, the fellowship period can be extended either for compulsory work consisting of e.g., teaching and supervision duties and research assistance up to four years.
Starting date no later than December 31st, 2026.
No one can be appointed for more than one PhD Research Fellowship period at the University of Oslo.

Job description
As digital services permeate nearly every part of daily life, identity and access management are increasingly vital. New approaches such as self-sovereign identities and FIDO2 passkeys present promising possibilities and are being supported by policy and legal initiatives like eIDAS and the EU Digital Identity Wallet. At the same time, these systems may encounter obstacles, including limited user acceptance, privacy concerns, and inherited weaknesses from legacy authentication methods. This research fellowship will investigate contemporary identity and access solutions and develop methods to evaluate their security, usability, and privacy.
The fellowship position is located at the Department of Informatics, and specifically in the Digital Security research group. The Digital Security research group currently has 12 full- and part-time faculty members and several postdoctoral researchers and PhD students. The research group conducts research in various areas of information and cyber security, focusing on fundamental aspects as well as on applications in multi-disciplinary contexts. We work in collaboration with leading national and international research partners from both academia and industry. Current research topics include identity management, cyber threat intelligence, AI applied to cyber security, ethical hacking, and privacy and data protection. - Master’s degree or equivalent in Informatics or Mathematics

Candidates without a master’s degree have until August 31, 2026 to complete the final exam.

- Documented previous experience in information/cyber security

Job description
This PhD project aims to study the convergence of high-performance computing (HPC) and AI, which is a subject that sees an increasing importance due to the widespread use of AI and in particular machine learning (ML).
As today’s mainstream AI/ML workloads often resort to large-scale and energy-hungry supercomputers, it is necessary have a more critical look at how HPC should be used in this context. The general research question is: “How can HPC fur-ther enhance AI/ML, and vice versa?”
Working closely with the staff of the newly established HPC research group at the Department of Informatics and their collaborators (Simula, Inria, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, University of Tokyo etc.), the PhD candidate is expected to research on some of the following themes:
- New algorithms for parallel/distributed AI/ML
- Hardware-aware and resource-efficient partitioning for parallel/distributed AI/ML
- Optimization of process-to-process communication in parallel/distributed AI/ML
- Enhancement of AI/ML with in-network computing & processing
- Adaptation & optimization of AI/ML software libraries for non-conventional hardware architectures
- Physics-informed ML surrogates for efficient simulation
- ML-supported optimization of HPC software

Seksjon for arv ved hovedkvarteret i Oslo fungerer som et spesialisert fagmiljø som håndterer 100–120 dødsbo årlig, med et stort og variert sakstilfang. Seksjonen står foran et generasjonsskifte, og vi søker nå en erfaren jurist eller fagperson som vil være med å videreføre og videreutvikle dette miljøet.
Rollen er definert som faglig leder og stedfortreder for seksjonsleder.
Rollen og sentrale ansvarsområder
Du rapporterer til leder for Seksjon for arv og er seksjonsleders stedfortreder. Hovedtyngden av arbeidet ligger innen arv og dødsboskifte. Du får skifteansvar for egne saker og følger dem fra start til slutt – fra juridiske vurderinger og fremdrift til praktisk oppfølging av eiendom og eiendeler, og dialog med pårørende og involverte parter. Rollen gir bred kontaktflate mot advokater, tingretter, bostyrere, eiendomsmeglere og offentlige instanser, i tillegg til samarbeidspartnere internt i Frelsesarmeen.
Dine viktigste oppgaver:
- Gjennomføre dødsboskifter i henhold til gjeldende lovgivning og Frelsesarmeens prosedyrer.
- Juridisk saksbehandling, veiledning og rådgivning i arverettslige spørsmål – internt og overfor eksterne samarbeidspartnere.
- Være stedfortreder for seksjonsleder og medvirke til faglig utvikling av både arbeidsområdet og medarbeiderne.
- Styresekretær for ti stiftelser – koordinering av styremøter, saksbehandling av tilskuddssøknader, oppfølging av vedtak og årsregnskap, og kontakt med Stiftelsestilsynet. Arbeidet er sesongbasert og utgjør om lag 10 % av stillingen.
- Bidra til å videreutvikle seksjonens rutiner, kvalitet og effektivitet.

Objectif
Au sein du service ICT de Fedasil, et plus précisément au sein de l'équipe Match-IT, vous veillez à ce que l'équipe de développement puisse travailler sans problème. Au sein de ce service, nous accordons une grande importance au concept « d'Ownership » et, avec votre équipe, vous serez amené à développer des fonctionnalités end-to-end. Vous gérez la planification du projet et vous assurez les la gestion des release. La planification des ressources, la facturation et les timesheets des consultants n'ont pas de secret pour vous. Si un ticket reste bloqué quelque part, vous vous en occupez. Vous êtes convaincu de la méthode de travail Agile et vous aidez vos collègues à affiner notre méthodologie. Vous permettez ainsi à l'équipe Match-IT de développer des solutions sur mesure pour les défis auxquels l'agence et ses partenaires sont confrontés.
Contenu
- Vous êtes la cheville ouvrière qui fait tourner le moteur : vous supervisez les activités quotidiennes et veillez à ce que le personnel, les objectifs et les accords de travail soient clairs afin de faire de notre produit une réussite. Vous veillez à la capacité de l'équipe et gérez l'évolution des besoins de manière transparente.
- En concertation avec le Program Manager et le Product Owner, vous établissez le planning général.
- Vous veillez à ce que les collègues disposent des ressources nécessaires et puissent développer les compétences requises pour atteindre les objectifs, et à ce qu'ils soient suffisamment informés, soutenus et guidés.
- Vous veillez à ce que les normes, les rôles et les responsabilités de chacun soient respectés. Vous veillez à ce que toute la documentation liée au projet soit complète, à jour et correctement conservée.
- Vous assurez le suivi des Timesheets et de la facturation.
- Vous suivez les risques et élaborez un plan de réduction des risques.
- Vous suivez les Releases et organisez les Roll outs et les réunions "go/nogo".

Expérience
- Option 1 : 2 ans expérience;

Expérience professionnelle pertinente exigée dans le domaine de coordination durant laquelle vous avez effectué au moins 3 des tâches ci-dessous :
- Gestion de projets de moyenne à grande importante;
- Gestion d'une équipe de 5 à 10 personnes, y compris le cycle d'évaluation annuelle;
- Gestion des priorités dans un contexte en permanente évolution;
- Collaboration avec des consultants externes;
- Collaboration avec des partenaires externes.
Expérience professionnelle pertinente exigée dans le domaine d'expérience technique durant laquelle vous avez effectué au moins 3 des tâches ci-dessous :
- Accompagnement de solutions innovantes;
- Activités de maintenance technique de la plateforme;
- Contacts avec des entités internes et/ou externes pour, entre autres, le support technique de la plateforme;
- Suivi du testing;
- Collaboration avec des services utilisateurs des données de la plateforme.

Diplôme et expériences
Vous êtes titulaire d'un master ou un bachelor (enseignement universitaire ou supérieur de type long - 2e cycle).
Une expérience au sein d'une organisation complexe ou dans le secteur public constitue un atout.
Type de contrat
Un contrat à temps plein à durée indéterminée (38 heures/semaine) avec clause dans le cadre du Financement Européen (AMIF).
Une réserve de recrutement est constituée pour tous types de contrats pour une durée de 2 ans.
Un horaire administratif avec des plages fixes et variables et des prestations de 7h36 par jour, du lundi au vendredi.

Salaire
Vous êtes recruté au niveau NA21 avec le barème salarial qui s'applique à votre situation. Le salaire mensuel brut minimum s'élève à 4.668,54 € (salaire de départ sans ancienneté sur base d'un contrat de travail à temps plein, à l'index actuel).
