Job description:
Micro- and nanoplastics are emerging environmental contaminants that may affect cellular processes associated with neurodegenerative diseases. Understanding their impact on protein aggregation and cellular stress responses requires advanced multimodal imaging and spectroscopic approaches.
This PhD project focuses on the development of a correlative fluorescence, Raman, and O-PTIR imaging platform to investigate nanoplastic-induced protein misfolding and proteostasis disruption in neurodegenerative disease models. The successful candidate will work with neuronal cell models relevant to Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease and combine fluorescence microscopy with Raman and O-PTIR imaging to study intracellular nanoplastic accumulation, protein aggregation, and lysosomal dysfunction.
The project includes cell culture experiments, multimodal spectroscopic imaging, data analysis, and complementary functional assays related to proteostasis and aggregate clearance pathways. The candidate will join a highly interdisciplinary research environment at the interface of spectroscopy, imaging, biophotonics, and cell biology.
Your field of activity includes:
- Cultivation and treatment of neuronal cell models exposed to nanoplastics
- Application of advanced fluorescence imaging and spectroscopic techniques for cellular analysis
- Investigation of protein aggregation, cellular stress responses, and proteostasis-related processes
- Development and optimization of multimodal bioanalytical and imaging workflows
- Processing, analysis, and interpretation of spectroscopic and imaging data
- Validation of spectroscopic findings using complementary biochemical and cellular assays
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams combining expertise in biology, spectroscopy, imaging, and data science
- Documentation, presentation, and publication of scientific results in project meetings, international conferences, and peer-reviewed journals
- Active participation in scientific training activities and interdisciplinary research projects
Your qualification:
- Completed a Master’s degree in biophotonics, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, medical photonics, biophysics, biotechnology or a related field.
Desired knowledge and skills:
- Basic knowledge of Raman or infrared spectroscopy or microscopy
- Experience in cell culture, biological samples, and fluorescence microscopy is desirable
- Programming experience in Python, Matlab or similar programs is advantageous
- Strong interest in neurodegeneration, proteostasis, spectroscopy, imaging, and nanoplastic research
- Experience with image analysis, multimodal data processing, and programming in Python, Matlab, or similar software is beneficial
- Ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary research environment combining biology, spectroscopy, and data science

Your tasks and responsibilities
To contribute to develop, to design, to test, to qualify, to support, to improve sub-system, during the whole implementation phase (including responsibility for integration, verification and validation) by writing the adequate technical documents (specifications, functional descriptions, test analysis, etc.).

- Support technical lead in customer management at design and program management reviews, and with all system development critical decisions
- Support the management of manufacturers for developing, testing and delivery of quality products that meet the requirements.
- Review system design documentation, procedures, user manuals, training materials, and other technical publications for technical accuracy and completeness.
- Generate acceptance documentation, e.g., Acceptance Test Plans, Acceptance Test Procedures, based on system/subsystem designs
Desired skills and qualifications
- Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or other related Engineering disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a related field
- Must be able to demonstrate proven capabilities in the area of Systems Engineering

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Act as the technical focal point for warehouse technology, advanced storage solutions, and physical automation initiatives within the Surface Management team
- Analyze and understand warehouse capabilities and capacity constraints to ensure technology solutions fit our physical and operational needs
- Enable the rate ramp-up by developing our surface potentials through the integration of cutting-edge warehouse technologies, technological densification, and the reshaping of storage areas
- Lead the physical layout planning, spatial integration, and material flow design for both conventional storage and automated systems in new and existing warehouses

Strategic Logistics & Transport Engineer (d/f/m)
The department is in charge of Transport and Logistics operations for Space and Connected Intelligence activities. The team is located in France, UK, Germany and Spain, in more than 5 different sites and working in collaboration with all the programs and AIT.
We are responsible for providing Transport and Logistics services and support all business activities.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Project team management autonomously
- To set-up new strategic solutions in a complex environment
- To design and implement the most optimized logistics and transport solutions.
- Provide expertise on processes, tools and support for Logistics and Transport operations.
- Ensure the successful operational deployment of processes and solutions.
- Master, control, and optimize Logistics and Transport processes and tools.
- Perform project management activities, develop and manage a wide area network or a Multi-Function Team (MFT).
- Manage change within the Logistics and Transport community.
- Perform Logistics and Transport cost estimation activities to contribute to tenders.
- Work collaboratively with Airbus operational teams as well as with the teams of Transport and Logistics subcontractors.
- Define and manage the process in accordance with BMS requirements.
- Ensure adherence to and compliance of processes and tools within the Logistics and Transport community.
- Ensure functional and methodological monitoring to prevent process non-conformities and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify IS/IT applications and digital promotion that support process implementation.
- Ensure that IS/IT risks are reported to the process owner.
- Advise on discrepancies between documented processes and IS/IT application functionalities.
- Define data management rules for Logistics and Transport and take appropriate measures to guarantee data accuracy.
- Knowledge of data management and analysis to participate in the performance study of Transport and Logistics operations.
- Contribute to the development of tools necessary for monitoring activities performance.
Desired skills and qualifications
- Master's degree or Engineer diploma’s degree in a technical field or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Solid experience in Project management and Supply Chain
- Solid experience and knowledge of Project management, Supply chain, Transport and Logistics
- Comprehensive management of new and complex systems
- Autonomous over the entire field of activity
- Fluent in English, German would be an advantage
