Work with data at the interface of biology and data science in a global research initiative focused on sustainable agriculture.
We are looking for a motivated and curious Research Data Steward to join the IBIS project at DTU Bioengineering. The Initiative for Biofertilizer Innovation and Science (IBIS) is an international research initiative focused on developing next-generation microbial biofertilizers through data-driven approaches and global collaboration.
In this role, you will contribute to building the data foundation that enables researchers to capture, share, and analyze experimental data across partners in Europe, Africa, and Asia. Your work will support data-driven discovery in a field with real-world impact on sustainable food production.
The job
You will work closely with a data science team consisting of an Associate Professor, a Postdoc, and a Software Developer. Together, you will support the development of data infrastructure and workflows that connect experimental work with data analysis and predictive modelling.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of the IBIS data infrastructure for experimental and analytical data to ensure traceability from experimental design to finished analysis
- Structuring and organizing datasets from laboratory and agricultural field-trial activities
- Facilitating data sharing across international collaborators
- Onboard researchers into the IBIS data systems and workflows
- Contributing to data quality control and standardization by continuous dialog with users
- Assisting in preparing datasets for analysis and reporting
- Collaborating with the data science team to ensure smooth data flow into analytical pipelines
Our expectations of you
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Holds a MSc degree in data/computer science, bioinformatics, biotechnology, or a related field
- Has experience working with structuring biological data sets and data management workflows
- Has programming experience (e.g., Python, R, or similar)
- Has experience with databases or data platforms (e.g., SQL-based systems)
- Has experience with ETL pipelines or similar data integration workflows
- Has experience with cloud-based data infrastructure
- Is detail-oriented and motivated by improving data quality and usability
- Works independently and collaborates effectively across disciplines
- Has strong communication skills in English
- Outgoing and capable of navigating different cultural setups across the globe
It is considered an advantage if you have:
- Experience working with biological or experimental data
- Experience in interdisciplinary or international research environments
- A PhD degree combining data science and biological sciences

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
The position is a 4-year full-time position with a preferred starting date of 1 June 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

What you'll do
- Lead Generation: Research and identify potential charity and agency partners across Germany and other European markets.
- Outbound Sales: Reach out via email, phone, Zoom, Teams and LinkedIn to secure meetings with nonprofit executives.
- Networking: Represent the company at conferences and events, confidently engaging with charity leadership and C-level decision-makers.
- Meetings: Book, support and attend meetings for senior team members, preparing briefings and handling follow-ups.
- Metrics-Driven Approach: Understand key fundraising KPIs (cost to acquire, ROI, donor lifetime value) to position our solutions effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with account directors and marketing team to turn qualified leads into successful partnerships.
Your profil
- Languages: Fluent in English & German.
- Experience: 3 years in sales, fundraising, or lead generation (internship or entry-level experience welcome).
- Mindset: Motivated, ambitious, and resilient¿thrives on achieving targets and making connections.
- Travel: Willing and enthusiastic to travel regularly within Europe for client meetings, charity and agency visits, and industry events.
- Energetic and outgoing with excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable with cold outreach and building relationships from scratch.
- Curious and quick to understand fundraising metrics and nonprofit needs.
- Understanding of direct mail and nonprofit fundraising in general is a strong plus.

Contrat : temps partiel - indépendant
L'objectif du cours est de permettre aux participant.es d'acquérir les prérequis minimaux pour interagir adéquatement durant leur immersion en milieu professionnel.

Contenus thématiques :

- Connaitre les principes de base de l'hygiène professionnelle
- Appliquer les règles de base de l'hygiène professionnelle.
Titre requis : infirmier/ère gradué(e)/bachelier/ère ou breveté(e) OU aide-soignant(e)
Statut indépendant ou facturation via SMART asbl
Expérience utile : justifier d'une expérience d'au moins 5 ans dans le secteur de l'aide ou des soins aux personnes.
Atouts supplémentaires :
Une qualification pédagogique ou une connaissance avérée (formation spécifique ou expérience) de l'approche neuro-pédagogique constitue un atout ;
Une expérience dans un service d'aide à domicile ou en maison de repos est souhaitée.
