We want to identify modules and hubs that are co-regulated in aging, development, and particularly in malignant transformation. Furthermore, we aim to modulate these epigenetic networks by epigenetic editing. We are looking for a bioinformatician with a strong background in epigenetic characterization of cell preparations with focus on DNA methylation. We are integrating own and public EPIC Illumina Bead Chip datasets, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, nanopore, and single cell DNAm sequencing datasets.

As the Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineer for Primary Structure, you will will have the chance of contributing to the structural integrity, driving the F&DT justification for critical fuselage components across the entire aircraft lifecycle—from next-generation design and certification to manufacturing and global fleet support.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Structural Analysis: Analyze and Validate composite & hybrid structures for Fatigue and Damage Tolerance according to validated methods.
- Airworthiness & Maintenance Criteria: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines.
- Structural Testing: Participate in the planning and analysis of fatigue tests, helping to validate theoretical models with real-world data
- Cross-Functional Certification: Collaborate with Design, Materials, and Stress teams to learn how F&DT requirements are integrated into the earliest design phases
- Support Fleet In-Service Solutions: Provide stress analysis for the repair/acceptance of damaged structures
- Manage Technical Project Deliverables: Define technical scopes, workload sizing, and lead times, ensuring high-quality inputs and the mitigation of technical risks/opportunities
- Continuous Innovation & Method Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of internal analysis tools and structural health monitoring strategies.
In essence, you will support the delivery of technical outputs in Time, Cost, and Quality, guided by senior experts and technical leadears.
Desired skills and qualifications
- You hold a Master's degree / Diploma in Engineering or similar qualifications
- You bring first experience in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance and associated Process, Methods & Tools
- You enjoy working with many interfaces with different knowledge levels and cultural backgrounds adapting your communication accordingly
- You have a creative data-driven mindset and are motivated to improve the way we work and interact with the world around us (e.g. using AI)
- You have the capabilities to interpret the environmental context and influence decision-making within the company
- Experience in Hyperworks and Python would be a plus
- Fluency in English is mandatory, German is appreciated

We are seeking a high-caliber Laboratory Manager (m/f/d) to oversee our dual-specialty pathology and immunoassay laboratory. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in tissue-based diagnostics and immunoassay automated testing.
You will be responsible for the operational excellence of the lab, ensuring that both the Histology/Pathology and Immunoassay/Chemistry departments function at peak efficiency while maintaining total compliance with ISO15189, CAP (College of American Pathologists) and CLIA regulations.
The Opportunity
You will oversee a dual-specialty laboratory at the forefront of the industry. Your leadership will span two critical domains:
* Anatomic Pathology: Managing high-complexity tissue-based diagnostics, including advanced Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and In Situ Hybridization (ISH)
* Immunoassay Excellence: Driving peaks of operational efficiency in our automated immunoassay tracks on state-of-the-art cobas® platforms
You will also be a key driver in our Digital Pathology transformation, integrating whole-slide imaging and AI-based image analysis into routine clinical workflows to set new standards for diagnostic precision. Your key responsibilities:
* Visionary Operational Leadership: Supervise the daily "rhythm" of the lab, synchronizing pathology and immunoassay workflows to ensure competitive turnaround times (TAT)
* Guardian of Quality: Maintain an "inspection-ready" culture, serving as the primary lead for CAP/CLIA and ISO 15189 audits
* Champion of People: Lead, mentor, and inspire team of Laboratory scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
* Strategic Technical Oversight: Manage the validation and implementation of new assays and novel platforms, ensuring every piece of equipment is a high-performing component of our diagnostic system
* Innovate & Improve: Actively identify opportunities for workflow optimization and cost-effective management without ever compromising the quality that defines the Roche name
Who you are
* You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related Biological Science. A Master’s (MHA/MBA) or PhD is highly preferred.
* Furthermore, you have 5+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
* Proven expertise in both anatomic pathology and automated immunoassay workflows is a distinct advantage
* The ideal candidate isn't just a technical expert; You are a leader who fosters a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role
