Wat is jouw rol?

Als senior onderzoeker leid je lopende projecten in goede banen, volg je deadlines en deliverables op en schrijf je mee aan nieuwe projectvoorstellen. Wanneer nodig steek je zelf de handen uit de mouwen in de werkplaats en sleutel je mee aan motoren en testopstellingen. Je bent dan ook geen klassieke projectmanager maar de combinatie van een projectleider en een technische doener.

Wat doe je concreet?

• Je werkt nauw samen met de onderzoekscoördinator van de onderzoekslijn Duurzame Energie en Mobiliteit.
• Je stuurt collega-onderzoekers aan binnen de projecten waarvoor je verantwoordelijk bent.
• Je zorgt ervoor dat projectdoelstellingen tijdig en succesvol worden behaald.
• Je waakt over de kwaliteit en voortgang van de projectuitvoering.
• Je documenteert en rapporteert onderzoeksresultaten.

Wat is je profiel?

• Je combineert strategisch inzicht met een hands-on mentaliteit: je schakelt vlot tussen projectmanagement, technische probleemoplossing en praktisch werk in de werkplaats.
• Je hebt affiniteit met duurzame energie en mobiliteit, zoals alternatieve brandstoffen, emissiereductie, motorentechnologie, elektrificatie of industriële machines.
• Je hebt ervaring met het opvolgen van projecten: je bewaakt timing, budgetten, deadlines en deliverables en zorgt ervoor dat resultaten correct gedocumenteerd en gerapporteerd worden.
• Je bent sterk in analyseren, structureren en organiseren, maar verliest daarbij de realiteit van de praktijk niet uit het oog.
• Je schrijft vlot en gestructureerd en draagt graag bij aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe onderzoeksprojecten en subsidievoorstellen.
• Je werkt graag samen en vormt een sterke tandem met de onderzoekscoördinator van de onderzoekslijn.
• Je communiceert professioneel in het Nederlands en kan je goed uitdrukken in het Engels.
• Je hebt meerdere jaren ervaring in toegepast onderzoek, industriële innovatieprojecten of technische projectcoördinatie.
• Je bent overtuigd van het belang van een leven lang leren, je volgt vernieuwing binnen jouw onderzoeksdomein actief op, o.a. via wetenschappelijke literatuur en het bijwonen van congressen en conferenties.
• Praktijkervaring met verbrandingsmotoren, alternatieve brandstoffen, emissiemetingen, mobiele werktuigen, scheepvaarttoepassingen, CAN-bus data of testopstellingen is een pluspunt.
• Een breed netwerk binnen jouw onderzoeksdomein is een pluspunt.

Verder beschik je over een masterdiploma in een relevante richting, bijvoorbeeld elektromechanica, automotive engineering, werktuigkunde of een gelijkaardig domein.
