Om stillingen og arbeidsoppgaver


Troms fylkeskommune søker en trafikksikkerhetskoordinator ( Rådgiver/ingeniør eller seniorrådgiver/senioringeniør) til seksjon Plan, klima og forvaltning i Samferdselsetaten. Stillingen er en fagstilling med hovedvekt på trafikksikkerhet, kombinert med deler av vegforvaltning.

Formålet med stillingen er å styrke det fylkeskommunale trafikksikkerhetsarbeidet gjennom helhetlige vurderinger, god samhandling og solide faglige beslutningsgrunnlag. Stillingen har en sentral rolle i oppfølging av trafikksikkerhetstiltak i fylket, og vil også bidra i forvaltningsoppgaver og planprosesser der trafikksikkerhet er et viktig hensyn.

Stillingen vil i tillegg ha en viktig rolle i sekretariatsfunksjonen for Fylkeskommunalt trafikksikkerhetsutvalg (FTU), og bidra til et kunnskapsbasert og koordinert trafikksikkerhetsarbeid i Troms.

Arbeidsoppgavene vil blant annet omfatte:

  • Trafikksikkerhetsfaglige vurderinger knyttet til mindre trafikksikkerhetstiltak
  • Vurdering av trygg skolevei, gang- og sykkelløsninger, fortau, krysningspunkt, belysning og fartsdempende tiltak
  • Vurderinger knyttet til myke trafikanter, inkludert barn, unge, eldre og personer med funksjonsnedsettelse
  • Behandling og oppfølging av henvendelser fra kommuner, innbyggere og andre aktører
  • Involvering i plan- og reguleringsplanprosesser i tidlig fase
  • Koordinering av faglige innspill internt i fylkeskommunen
  • Utvalgte oppgaver innen vegforvaltning etter veglov og tilhørende regelverk
  • Ivareta sekretariatsarbeid for Fylkeskommunalt trafikksikkerhetsutvalg (FTU), herunder forberedelse av saker, oppfølging av vedtak og faglige underlag til politisk behandling
  • Utarbeidelse av oversikter og grunnlag for prioritering av trafikksikkerhetstiltak

Kvalifikasjonskrav

  • Relevant høyere utdanning, fortrinnsvis innen veg- og trafikkfag, samfunnsplanlegging, samferdsel, ingeniørfag eller tilsvarende
  • Relevant erfaring innen trafikksikkerhet, vegforvaltning, planlegging eller beslektede fagområder
  • God forståelse for samspillet mellom planlegging, forvaltning og trafikksikkerhet
  • Kjennskap til relevant regelverk, herunder veglov, trafikkregler, vegnormaler og plan- og bygningsloven
  • Erfaring fra offentlig forvaltning er en fordel
  • God skriftlig og muntlig framstillingsevne på norsk

Litt om meg

Jeg har i voksen alder fått en sykdom som gjør at jeg nå sitter i rullestol. 


Med assistanse og annen teknisk hjelp klarer jeg fortsatt å jobbe 40% i min jobb på universitetet. 

Jeg er en sporty dame som før jeg ble syk likte å gå tur på fjellet, jeg syklet og padlet kajakk og likte også å danse. Matlaging og fotografering var også noen av mine hobbyer. Nå er det vel mest matlagingen som er igjen, selv om jeg også prøver å få med meg turer ute i rullestolen om sommeren. Det er mye fin natur som er lett tilgjengelig i Tromsø-området. Ellers er jeg glad i å lese bøker og se på film. Jeg har en fantastisk familie og flotte venner som jeg liker å tilbringe tid med.
 


Stillingsstørrelse og arbeidstid

Det du skal hjelpe meg med vil så klart variere alt avhengig av når på dagen du har vakt, og om det er hverdag eller helg, og selvfølgelig også med årstiden. Jeg har ledige vakter både på dagtid og på ettermiddag/kveld. Antall vakter og tidspunkt for vaktene kan avtales nærmere hvis dette virker interessant.


Arbeidsoppgaver

Jeg søker etter flere assistenter som kan hjelpe meg i hverdagen både på jobb og hjemme. Jeg har en egen rullestoltilpasset bil, så du må ha sertifikat for å kunne kjøre meg til avtaler og fritidsaktiviteter. Siden jeg nå også har mistet det meste av kraften i armene trenger jeg  hjelp til det meste. Det vil si få meg opp av sengen, morgenstell og påkledning, frokost, kjøring til jobb eller andre aktiviteter, handle matvarer, administrere middagslaging, assisterer ved kafebesøk og besøk hos venner, enkelt husarbeid, turer med mer. Siden vi kommer til å tilbringe mye tid i lag er det viktig at vi kommer godt overens og at vi begge liker å omgås hverandre. Jeg har tro på god kommunikasjon og åpenhet og gjensidig respekt.


Arbeidssted

Arbeidsstedet vil i hovedsak være mitt hjem i Ersfjorden på Kvaløya, men kan også være på kontoret mitt på universitetet i Tromsø. I Ersfjorden bor jeg i enebolig med samboer og en katt, og vi har også flere Alaskan husky i hundegård på utsiden. Jeg har 2 voksne sønner som ofte er på besøk og vi har også annet familie i nærheten, blant annet et barnebarn som ofte er innom.

Om meg og hverdagen min

Jeg er en dame midt i livet som liker å fylle dagene med det som gir energi og glede. Jeg er glad i sang og kor, trening, musikk, bøker, natur og reiser – og ikke minst å lage god mat og tilbringe tid med venner og familie.

Jeg bor sentralt på Tromsøya, i nærheten av Giæverbukta med gode bussforbindelser, og herfra lever jeg et variert hverdagsliv. Noen dager er vi ute på aktiviteter som kor, trening eller ute i naturen, andre dager er vi hjemme og tar det mer med ro. Hverdagen består også av praktiske og rutinepregede oppgaver, som matlaging, handling, husarbeid og personlig bistand. Du vil også være med meg til avtaler når det trengs. Om sommeren trives jeg som hobbygartner, og da tilbringer vi mye tid ute i hagen når været tillater det.

Jeg har behov for assistanse gjennom hele døgnet, og det vil derfor også være aktuelt med nattevakter, der du bidrar til trygghet og ro gjennom natten og bistår ved behov.

Jeg reiser litt i perioder, og det er fint om du av og til kan bli med dersom det passer for deg. I andre perioder er hverdagen mer forutsigbar og rolig.

Stillingsstørrelse og arbeidstid

  • Helgestillinger (hver 4. helg)

I tillegg kan det være aktuelt med andre stillingsstørrelser, med mulighet for tilpasning etter behov.

Arbeidstid vil være dag, aften, natt og hver 4. helg, avhengig av stilling.

Job description

This PhD project focuses on developing formal methods and knowledge representation techniques for the modelling and analysis of complex manufacturing and intralogistics systems, such as highly automated factories and warehouses with autonomous components. It addresses a fundamental challenge in industrial digitalization: the lack of formal, machine-interpretable representations that integrate structural, functional, spatial, and temporal aspects of engineering information. The research will investigate how such integrated representations can support consistency checking, automated reasoning, and the synthesis of behavioural models for dynamic analysis. Particular emphasis will be placed on the development of temporal modelling concepts, knowledge graphs, and formal verification techniques, enabling the automatic synthesis of timed and probabilistic behavioral models for model checking, performance evaluation, and optimization. The overall objective is to establish formal foundations that bridge static engineering descriptions and dynamic behavior, ultimately bridging static system design and dynamic operational analysis.

About the position

We invite applications for a PhD Research Fellow position in Computational Nuclear Physics and Reactor Simulations is available at Department of Physics. The PhD Research Fellow will be part of the Norwegian Nuclear Research Centre (NNRC). 

NNRC is a cross-disciplinary collaboration between Norway’s leading institutions within nuclear physics and nuclear chemistry research: University of Oslo (UiO), Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), and Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). The Centre addresses major research questions within the nuclear field spanning topics from nuclear properties and medical isotope production to reactor simulations and environmental radiochemistry.

Starting date as soon as possible, preferably before December 1st, 2026.

The fellowship period is three years.

A fourth year maybe considered and it will involve 25 percent of other career-promoting work. Other career-promoting work may consist of teaching, supervision, and/or research assistance. This is dependent upon the qualification of the applicant and the current needs of the department.

Project description/work tasks

The Nuclear Physics group at UiO is involved in several research themes within the Norwegian Nuclear Research Centre (NNRC), from fundamental research within nuclear properties and nuclear fission, to more applied research within nuclear simulations and radionuclide production and speciation. This PhD Research Fellow will mostly contribute to nuclear simulations (reactor simulations).

The project will include reactor simulations of future reactor systems with a focus on systems relevant for Norway. The objective is to further develop and validate machine-learning surrogate models derived from high-fidelity multiphysics simulations of reactor transients and quantify how surrogate uncertainties propagate through system safety analysis of nuclear installations, using tools such as open simulations platforms.

This research will be part of a larger international collaboration and be a part of the Norwegian Nuclear Research Centre. The candidate is expected to contribute to and partake in activities organised by the Centre.

Job description

As digital services permeate nearly every part of daily life, identity and access management are increasingly vital. New approaches such as self-sovereign identities and FIDO2 passkeys present promising possibilities and are being supported by policy and legal initiatives like eIDAS and the EU Digital Identity Wallet. At the same time, these systems may encounter obstacles, including limited user acceptance, privacy concerns, and inherited weaknesses from legacy authentication methods. This research fellowship will investigate contemporary identity and access solutions and develop methods to evaluate their security, usability, and privacy.

The fellowship position is located at the Department of Informatics, and specifically in the Digital Security research group. The Digital Security research group currently has 12 full- and part-time faculty members and several postdoctoral researchers and PhD students. The research group conducts research in various areas of information and cyber security, focusing on fundamental aspects as well as on applications in multi-disciplinary contexts. We work in collaboration with leading national and international research partners from both academia and industry. Current research topics include identity management, cyber threat intelligence, AI applied to cyber security, ethical hacking, and privacy and data protection. About the position

Position as PhD Research Fellow in High-Performance Computing available at Department of Informatics.

The fellowship period is three years.

Depending on the candidate and the teaching needs of the department, the fellowship period can be extended either for compulsory work consisting of e.g., teaching and supervision duties and research assistance up top four years.

Starting date no later than October 1, 2026.

No one can be appointed for more than one PhD Research Fellowship period at the University of Oslo.

Place of work is Department of Informatics at Blindern, Oslo.


Job description

This PhD project aims to study the convergence of high-performance computing (HPC) and AI, which is a subject that sees an increasing importance due to the widespread use of AI and in particular machine learning (ML). 

As today’s mainstream AI/ML workloads often resort to large-scale and energy-hungry supercomputers, it is necessary have a more critical look at how HPC should be used in this context. The general research question is: “How can HPC fur-ther enhance AI/ML, and vice versa?”

Working closely with the staff of the newly established HPC research group at the Department of Informatics and their collaborators (Simula, Inria, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, University of Tokyo etc.), the PhD candidate is expected to research on some of the following themes:

  • New algorithms for parallel/distributed AI/ML
  • Hardware-aware and resource-efficient partitioning for parallel/distributed AI/ML
  • Optimization of process-to-process communication in parallel/distributed AI/ML
  • Enhancement of AI/ML with in-network computing & processing
  • Adaptation & optimization of AI/ML software libraries for non-conventional hardware architectures
  • Physics-informed ML surrogates for efficient simulation
  • ML-supported optimization of HPC software

What skills are important in this role?

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has a strategic ambition to be among Europe’s leading communities for research, education and innovation. Candidates for these fellowships will be selected in accordance with this, and expected to be in the upper segment of their class with respect to academic credentials.

Required qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in HPC and/or ML
  • Foreign completed degree (M.Sc.-level) corresponding to a minimum of four years in the Norwegian educational system
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English 

Candidates without a master’s degree have until June 30, 2026 to complete the final exam.

Desired qualifications:

  • Good programming skills
  • Knowledge about hardware technologies
  • Experience with using supercomputers
  • Experience with scientific writing and publication

The norm is as follows:

  • The average grade point for courses included in the Bachelor’s degree must be C or better in the Norwegian educational system
  • The average grade point for courses included in the Master’s degree must be B or better in the Norwegian educational system
  • The Master’s thesis must have the grade B or better in the Norwegian educational system
