The world is at your feet as a certified engine mechanic. You maintain, overhaul, and modify aircraft engines and individual components. It's also your responsibility to certify them. With your experience, you serve as a role model for junior engine mechanics.
You test the engine for internal damage and detect any anomalies;• You work with various engine types;• You always keep the customer’s requirements in mind;• You report daily to the team lead and the lead mechanic of the Engine Shop;• You perform administrative tasks;• You adhere to safety regulations.
You’ll be part of Engine Services, a division of Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) where you’ll work in the Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) department. You will work in shifts: one week of day shifts and one week of evening shifts.
You’re a real techie and love working with your hands. You work quickly but precisely, always spotting potential errors immediately. You also have a strong sense of responsibility and find it important that you and your team can work safely. You don’t hesitate to address colleagues if they don’t follow the regulations. Additionally, you enjoy sharing your experience with junior engine mechanics and helping them find their way in the department.
Furthermore:
You are authorized to perform maintenance on aircraft engines;
You can work independently and sign off on completed work;
You speak and understand (technical) English well;
You have at least three years of experience as an engine mechanic;
You are familiar with engine types CFM56-7B, CF6, GEnx, and LEAP.

Tasks & responsibilities
Ensuring (maintenance) processes on the ground run flawlessly;
Perform inspection, maintenance and modification acitvities and supervise them professionally;
Carry out the work according to the required specifications and in compliance with the various regulations (such as those from the Safety Management System);
Release aircraft to service by means of a Certificate of Release to Service which, in your opinion, are suitable for safe flight operations;
Improve the current maintenance processes structurally and proactively;
Contribute to the further development of your team.
What else will you bring with you?
Demonstrable relevant work experience as (EASA) licensed Ground Engineer for one or more of the following aircraft types B737, B777, A330, A320 NEO and/or B787 (A dossier/document check is part of the selection process);
Good (technical) English, both spoken and written, is a must;
Good Dutch, both spoken and written, is an advantage
Experience working in a team is a plus.

Your role as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/ Aircraft Mechanic
As an aircraft mechanic within our Part-145 organization, you are responsible for performing line maintenance tasks on our Boeing 737-800 and 737-8/9 aircraft. You work in accordance with applicable regulations and ensure that the aircraft can safely enter the airspace.
Tasks:
Performing line maintenance work in accordance with EASA Part-145 regulations.
Ordering and managing aircraft parts.
Ensuring accurate record-keeping in the maintenance system.
Coaching and guiding mechanics and trainees.
Location:
You will primarily work from Schiphol, but occasionally you will travel to our outstations (e.g., Curaçao, Thailand, European destinations) – a unique opportunity to gain international experience as an aircraft mechanic.
Work Environment
You will join a committed and friendly team of approximately 16 colleagues. Together, you will work on the Schiphol platform, always with safety and quality as the highest priority. Thanks to a clear schedule with a limited number of night shifts, you always know where you stand.
