Psykisk helse- og rusklinikken omfatter alle tilbud ved Nordlandssykehuset innen psykisk helsevern, rusbehandling og rehabilitering. Vi yter tjenester for alle aldersgrupper og på alle nivåer i spesialisthelsetjenesten til befolkningen i Nordland. 

Som ferievikar hos oss vil du bli en del av et inkluderende og hyggelig arbeidsmiljø, med interessante, varierte og utfordrende arbeidsoppgaver. Vi har behov for ferievikarer i flere yrkesgrupper, og håper du vil bli en del av oss i sommer!

Arbeidsoppgaver

Arbeidsoppgavene vil variere ut ifra din kompetanse og hvilken enhet du jobber ved, men du vil jobbe med blant annet:

• Miljøterapeutisk/sykepleiefaglig oppfølging av pasientene
• Arbeide i tverrfaglige team rundt hver enkelt pasient
• Kriseintervensjon
• Observasjon, dokumentasjon og praktiske arbeidsoppgaver i enheten
  
• Bruk av appen “Medanets” hvor det via mobil legges inn NEWS, observasjoner, nærkontakt, screening m.m. 
• Håndtering av uforutsette situasjoner gjennom en faglig forankret tilnærming

Litt om meg og jobben

Hei! 😊

Jeg heter Martin og bor på Silsand sammen med mamma og pappa. Jeg ble født med et sjeldent syndrom som heter ZTTK og har også epilepsi. Det gjør at jeg trenger litt praktisk hjelp i hverdagen – som å kle på meg, få litt bistand under måltider, og når jeg trener.

Men jeg er ikke bare en "rutinemann" - jeg elsker også å ha det gøy og være aktiv.  Jeg liker å høre på musikk, sykle, svømme, gå på turer, se på iPad og TV, ake om vinteren – og jeg liker å klatre!

Nå ser jeg etter deg som kan hjelpe meg med de daglige tingene, men som også har lyst til å være med på alt det morsomme. Du bør være tålmodig og trygg – og synes det er greit at ikke alle dager er helt like.

Hos oss skjer det litt gjennom hele døgnet, men jeg trenger mest hjelp på ettermiddager, kvelder og i helgene. Av og til kan det også være behov for nattevakter. Vi er ganske fleksible, så vi kan finne ut av en plan som passer for begge.

Job desciption

Applicants are invited for a three-or four-year position as Postdoctoral Fellow in children’s language development in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) settings to be based at the Department of Education, University of Oslo. 

The Oslo Early Education Study was conducted as a researcher–sector partnership aimed at developing, implementing, and evaluating an intervention designed to strengthen multiethnic ECEC centers in supporting young children’s language development and enhancing collaboration with parents. This randomized controlled trial was conducted over a period of three years and was led by 
Principal Investigators Veslemøy Rydland and Ratib Lekhal. For more information, see the project website. 

The data collection has now been completed, and a rich dataset is available on approximately 900 children across more than 200 ECEC classrooms. The dataset includes detailed measures of teacherchild interactions, child developmental outcomes, and indicators of ECEC–home collaboration, with follow-up data extending into the children’s transition to first grade. 

We are now seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow who will contribute to the analysis and publication of data that has not yet been fully utilized within the project. Applicants shall develop independent and relevant research ideas within the scope of the project and articulate these in a project description (see more information below). The Postdoctoral Fellow will collaborate closely with the project group and is expected to build and maintain productive relationships with ECEC leaders and teachers. 

Applicants should demonstrate strong motivation and relevant qualifications to participate in all stages of the research process—from data preparation and analysis to the dissemination of 
high‑quality scientific publications. In addition, we are particularly interested in candidates with documented experience in data management and processing, with specific emphasis on transcription and the analysis of interaction data. Most importantly, we especially encourage applicants who wish to investigate implementation processes and the longitudinal implications of the intervention for children’s language outcomes. In our assessment of applicants, we will emphasize experience with longitudinal analyses, knowledge about the Norwegian education system and the relevance of the applicants’ prior research for the Oslo Early Education Study. 

More about the position 

The appointment is a fulltime position for a period of three or four years. In a four-year position 25% 
of the time is devoted to teaching duties, usually in the form of teaching activities at the department. 
The main purpose of the fellowship is to build a research profile and competence that qualifies the 
postdoctoral fellow to apply for a position as associate professor within their disciplines. The position 
may also provide other competence with relevance for the postdoctoral fellow's further career.

If the Postdoctoral Fellow does not already have educational qualifications that meet the 
requirements for an associate professor position, UiO shall facilitate the acquisition of such 
competence during the employment period. 
A career plan shall be developed for the Postdoctoral Fellow, specifying the competencies the 
Postdoctoral Fellow should acquire. UiO is responsible for following up on the career plan and 
ensuring that the Postdoctoral Fellow has access to career guidance throughout the postdoctoral 
term. 

Qualification requirements

• Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in Education, Psychology, or another relevant field. Doctoral dissertation must be submitted for evaluation by the closing date. Appointment is dependent on the public defense of the doctoral thesis being approved 
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian or one of the other Scandinavian languages  
• Relevant experience conducting research on children’s language development in ECEC settings. 
• Applicants must demonstrate a solid understanding of how the Oslo Early Education Study data can be utilized and outline a research plan with clear potential for generating high‑quality scientific publications.

About the position

A PhD fellowship is available at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, University of Oslo (UiO), in collaboration with Department of Microbiology, Oslo University Hospital (OUS), within the interdisciplinary research project GENESIS – Gene–Epigenome–Active Matter Nexus in Early Embryogenesis, part of the UiO Life Science Convergence Environment. The physical place of work will be the new Life Science building Problemveien 25-29, Oslo.

Starting date no later than October 1.

The fellowship period is four years, including 25% of other career‑promoting work. This may consist of teaching and/or project-related tasks, such as contributing to the organization of consortium seminars, maintaining websites, laboratory assistance, or other activities that support the project.

Project description

GENESIS is a newly established Life Science Convergence Environment that brings active matter physics, cell biology, and machine learning to address the fundamental processes guiding the earliest stages of mammalian embryo development. Early embryogenesis is a critical stage in which collective cell dynamics, mechanical forces, and gene regulation interact to drive blastocyst formation, embryonic axis establishment, and cell fate specification. 

This PhD project aims to experimentally map and quantify the mechanical and dynamical processes underlying early mouse and human embryogenesis, focusing on cellular motility, shape dynamics, cytoskeletal organization, and force generation. The position is embedded in a highly interdisciplinary team spanning advanced microscopy, gene regulation, active matter physics, and machine learning.

The position has a duration of 4 years.

The PhD candidate will...

• Develop and apply advanced live-imaging workflows (e.g., light-sheet/spinning disk/confocal microscopy) to quantify:
  • relative cell motility, neighbor exchange, and tissue flow across developmental stages
  • 3D cell shape changes, anisotropy, and polarization (apical–basal and planar)
  • cytoskeletal architecture (actomyosin, microtubules) and mitotic spindle organization
• Map mechanical forces using visual mechanical stress inference (VMSI) and direct biophysical assays (e.g., micropipette aspiration, atomic force microscopy), and help establish robust protocols for force mapping in early embryos.
• Perform spatially resolved proteomic imaging to link gene expression with mechanical and dynamical behaviors
• Extract quantitative metrics (e.g., nematic order parameters, cell shape descriptors, stress proxies, tissue fluidity measures) and identify putative topological defects and alignment patterns

The project offers close interaction with experimental biology, theoretical physics, and computational modeling in a strongly interdisciplinary research environment. The candidate will also access and contribute to state‑of‑the‑art microscopy platforms at the Oslo Life Science Building.

Qualification requirements

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in molecular/cell biology, biophysics, biomedical engineering, quantitative biology, or a closely related field
• Foreign completed degree (M.Sc.-level) corresponding to a minimum of four years in the Norwegian educational system
• Proficiency in computational data analysis 
• Strong background in system biology/molecular biology/cell biology

Grade requiremens

The norm is as follows:

• The average grade point for courses included in the Bachelor’s degree must be C or better in the Norwegian educational system
• The average grade point for courses included in the Master’s degree must be B or better in the Norwegian educational system
• The Master’s thesis must have the grade B or better in the Norwegian educational system

Desired qualifications

• Experience with light-sheet microscopy, spinning disk/confocal, or high‑content live imaging
• Experience with force measurement techniques (e.g., AFM, micropipette aspiration) or image-based stress inference methods
• Solid programming skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB, C+)
• Exposure to active matter concepts (e.g., nematic/polar order, topological defects) 
• Interest in developmental biology, mechanochemical coupling, and integrating imaging with molecular data
• Experience working with or interpreting experimental data from embryos, organoids, or epithelial tissues
