- As part of a team, designing and implementing advanced software for scientific instrument control, 3D reconstruction, image processing and realistic 3D-visualization.
- Join the product development team up to final system realization.
- Architect/design/code new features for 3-dimensional imaging and measurements independently.
- 100% on-site work in Mechelen to support hands-on practical implementation.
· University degree (MD, Ph.D., Eng.) in science, computer technologies.
· In-depth knowledge and experience in software development under Windows environments.
· programming skills using a wide variety of tools, including Microsoft Visual C++ / Visual Studio and other development tools.
· Experience in programming of 3D-graphics withOpenGL, GLSL, experiences in CUDA and in image analysis are plus points.
· Good knowledge of English.
· Ability to work on her/his own initiative and as a part of an enthusiastic and experienced team.
· A hands/on attitude
This position is not suited for web developers, CRM/SAP developers, ERP consultants, full-stack web engineers, or similar profiles focused on enterprise or business IT. We are looking specifically for candidates with a strong scientific/technical interest in high-performance software, a passion for mathematical algorithms, 3D-computation, image reconstruction and instrument control.
- Perform demonstrations and provide customer training and support.
- Develop 3D visual content for marketing purposes.
- Increase brand visibility through online presence including content planning, technical posts, product updates,..
- Actively participate to proactively generating product sales opportunities.
- Build and maintain a scientific network.
- Generate applications notes and provide input on feasibility of new applications.
- Develop new methods, test and verify new products.
- Assist in the production of manuals, marketing materials, and other documentation.
- University degree (MSc or PhD) in materials science, engineering, natural science, biomedical engineering or equally skilled by experience.
- Working experience with microCT imaging instruments and/or image analysis software is an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Very good communication and presentation skills, including MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to work on her/his own initiative and as a part of a focused, enthusiastic and experienced team.
- A hands/on attitude.
- Willing to travel worldwide on an occasional basis.
