We seek a candidate who can dissect the genetics and molecular mechanisms related to plant-virus interactions and who can exploit them for breeding crops with resistance to viruses for a sustainable agriculture. You will initate and conduct research and you will be involved in acquisition to fund this research. Functie-eisen We are looking for a researcher with a relevant PhD degree and a track record in molecular plant-microbe interactions, with interest to apply this knowledge for breeding crops. We prefer candidates with experience in molecular plant-virus interactions and interest to work with vegetable crops in a plant breeding context. The successful candidate can initiate her/his own research line in the field of plant-virus interaction aimed at breeding crops with resistance to viruses and is willing to spend max 20% of his/her time on teaching in the field of resistance breeding.
