Jouw rol?

Als teamleider communicatie ontwikkel en bewaak je de communicatiestrategie van DDS en Verko. Je vertaalt die strategie naar concrete campagnes, projecten en content voor inwoners, medewerkers, partners en andere stakeholders.

Je werkt nauw samen met het managementteam en ondersteunt het management bij strategische, beleidsmatige en organisatorische communicatie. Je rapporteert rechtstreeks aan beide algemeen directeurs.

Je werkt steeds in nauwe samenwerking met, en waar nodig in opdracht van, onze lokale besturen. Je stemt af met hun communicatie- en beleidsmedewerkers en vertaalt gezamenlijke doelstellingen naar heldere en bruikbare communicatie.

Je geeft leiding aan twee communicatiemedewerkers en zorgt voor duidelijke prioriteiten, een efficiënte werking en ruimte voor creativiteit en ontwikkeling.

About the role

At Proximus Global, we're looking for a SIM & eSIM Connectivity Engineer to join our SIM for Things (SFT) team.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and support of our SIM and eSIM ecosystem, covering physical SIMs, eUICCs, eSIM Hub platforms, SM-DP+, and Remote SIM Provisioning solutions. Working closely with product, operations, technology teams, vendors, and partners, you will help deliver reliable connectivity solutions for global IoT deployments.

You will be involved throughout the SIM and eSIM lifecycle, from solution design and device validation to provisioning, troubleshooting, and operational support, helping ensure a seamless experience for customers and partners.

What you'll do

  • Support the design and implementation of SIM, eSIM, and Remote SIM Provisioning solutions in line with business and operational requirements.
  • Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of SIM for Things, eSIM Hub, and provisioning platforms.
  • Participate in implementation projects involving SIM vendors, profile providers, and ecosystem partners.

About the position

About the project

Software is today prominent in many critical systems and infrastructures, such as power distribution systems, railway infrastructure, or flight control systems. These systems are subject to complex development and verification processes, including certification and audits, and in general different activities that span the Software Engineering and the Systems Engineering disciplines.

Generative AI and AI agents are rapidly changing how software-based systems are being designed, developed, and evaluated. While AI agents have become common in certain Software Engineering tasks, such as programming, documentation, and vulnerability detection, their adoption for other tasks such as software architecture design, or safety and hazard analysis, is still limited. 

The objective of this position is to investigate and evaluate solutions for software engineering and systems engineering tasks in critical systems and infrastructures. Within this context, the project can be tailored to the interests and background of the successful candidate.

Required selection criteria

  • You must meet the requirements for admission to the Doctoral Programme in Computer Science, see Section 6-1 of the PhD regulations for more information.
  • You must have a relevant Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Your degree must include a major independent project (minimum 30 ECTS) equivalent to a master’s thesis.
  • Master students can apply, but the master's degree must be obtained and documented before starting the position and no later than 30.10.2026.
  • You must have a strong and relevant academic background from your previous studies and have an average grade from your Master's degree study, or equivalent education, which is equal to B or better compared to NTNU's grading scale. If you do not have letter grades from previous studies, you must have an equally good academic foundation. If you have a weaker academic background, you may be considered if you can document that you are exceptionally suited for a PhD education, for example through relevant work experience and/or peer-reviewed academic works.
  • Good programming skills.
  • Good oral and written presentation skills in English.

Preferred selection criteria

The following characteristics will be considered an advantage during the selection process:

  • Good understanding of Software Engineering or Systems Engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with modeling of software and/or system architecture
  • Experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Microsoft Agent Framework)
  • Good knowledge of AI concepts, particularly Generative AI
  • Knowledge of aspects related to critical systems and infrastructures

Salary and conditions

In the position of PhD Candidate, code 1017, your gross salary will normally be NOK 580 000,-per annum depending on qualifications and seniority. A 2% statutory contribution to the State Pension Fund is deducted from the salary. 

The employment period is 3 years for the doctoral work in addition to 1 year of career promotion work.

For employment as a PhD Candidate, it is a prerequisite that you gain admission to the PhD programme in Computer Science within three months of your employment contract start date, and that you participate in an organized doctoral programme throughout the period of employment.

As an employee at NTNU, it is important that you keep yourself up to date with academic and organizational changes and adapt to them.

For the necessary professional and social interaction, it is a prerequisite that you are physically present and available to the institution on a daily basis.

About the position

Long term management of large scale computing infrastructures requires detailed knowledge of the performance parameters that affect their application software, as it aids in making future technology choices, predicting performance and scalability, and adapting critical software to new developments.

The candidate will join the System Software Group, and study the performance and scalability characteristics of adapting scientific simulation software to current and future supercomputer hardware. The research work will be informed by collaborations with the scientific computing team that manages the local HPC resources at NTNU, and Uninett Sigma2, which manages both the Norwegian national infrastructure for HPC in Norway, and international connections.

About the project

The primary research goal will be to create quantitative performance models that describe a range of numerical methods, parallel programming models, and hardware platforms when we apply them to the CFD problem of simulating the sloshing motion of a fluid within a moving tank.

The purpose of these experiments will be to identify the hardware/software interactions that dominate the parallel scalability of similar simulations, with a view towards informing future technology choices in the HPC sector.

Duties of the position

  • Complete the doctoral education until obtaining a doctorate
  • Carry out research of good quality within the framework described above
  • Academic publications and popular science dissemination
  • Participate in international activities such as conferences and/or research stays at foreign educational institutions
  • Coordinating and managing the practical exercises in a course on parallel computing.
