Lead Laboratory Engineer
European Spallation Source Eric
Sweden, Lund
The European Spallation Source (ESS) is one of the largest science and technology infrastructure projects being built today. Our goal is to become the brightest source of neutrons for science and technology and be operational by the end of this decade. Join us in shaping the future of science - from the ground up. About the role: We are seeking a Lead Laboratory Engineer to join our Mechanical Measurements Lab (MML) in the Mechanical Engineering and Technology (META) Section. This role represents a unique opportunity for a laboratory or mechanical engineer to experience the best of both worlds: Project engineering, hands-on mechanical design work coupled with practical laboratory-based procedures, processes and experiments. We are looking for someone with project engineering and leadership skills to drive initiatives from design through implementation. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with the ability to lead projects, plan, coordinate teams, and ensure successful delivery from concept through execution for innovative solutions in a fast-paced lab environment. You therefore need to bring a balance of hands-on engineering knowledge and project management skills to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. In this role, you’ll tackle both well-established mechanical measurements such as Modal Analysis, Vibration Analysis, Structural Health Monitoring, Material Testing, and advanced techniques as Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy and Transient Grating Spectroscopy under challenging conditions like vacuum or radiation. You'll be the driving force behind leading engineering projects, designing, analysing, and troubleshooting cutting-edge mechanical systems, transforming concepts into fully functional prototypes and engineering solutions. This role is also about leadership and ownership. You’ll be responsible for creating and validating 3D models and 2D drawings in CAD, generating technical reports, and delivering robust solutions that align with ESS-wide project requirements, including projects for superconducting applications. From conceptual design to production oversight in both underground labs and surface assembly halls, you’ll actively participate in leading teams, system assembly, measurements, manufacturing follow-ups, and hands-on testing. Collaborating with experts across disciplines, you’ll ensure every design is both groundbreaking and practical. Your creativity, precision, and problem-solving mindset will be key for completing tasks such as reviewing tolerances, testing manufacturability, and refining assembly processes. With access to state-of-the-art tools like CATIA and our in-house ESS CAD management system, you’ll lead design evolution, provide technical support, and deliver first-rate solutions. This is a full-time, permanent position which is based primarily “on-site” at the brand-new ESS campus in Lund, Sweden. About you: First and foremost, we need someone who is suitably qualified and experienced. Ideally, you will have appropriate academic and technical qualifications, such as a Higher Technical or University engineering degree in mechanical engineering or another equivalent engineering degree. However, any relevant experience in a similar leadership role is critical as qualification that you hold. A strong background in project engineering for lab-based initiatives, coupled with experience in leading work-packages and teams, will be considered key assets for this role. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering or a related field is required, with proven leadership in engineering projects regarded as a critical competence for this position. In this unique and interesting role, we need someone with a good level of competency with 3D & 2D design using CAD and CATIA. The ideal candidate will understand both Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and its application to production, as well as the rules and norms for mechanical manufacturing in accordance with applicable and interfacing electrical regulations. Prior experience of conducting Non-Destructive and Destructive Testing and laboratory measurements would be an advantage. A key element of this role will be the publishing of experimental results and scientific papers - so an established academic publication history is desirable. We attach great importance to personality and attitude, so we're looking for a real team player: Someone who is sociable, has excellent communication skills, who likes to collaborate with different people and who is committed to helping this amazing project to realise its full potential. The working language of ESS is English but the ability to speak Swedish or another European language would be an advantage. To apply: A career at ESS gives you the opportunity to contribute to the future discoveries within neutron science at a stunning, brand-new workplace filled with innovative minds and brilliant people from across the globe. We offer market competitive, individualised compensation which is differentiated according to role, responsibilities, individual skills, abilities and achievements as well as monthly pension contributions on top of your salary. If you see yourself in what we’re looking for, please provide your CV and motivation letter in English by clicking on “apply” and following the instructions. Please be aware that we can only accept direct applications made via the ESS website. Submit your application as soon as you can and quote the job reference number ESD-79562 in your application. This role requires additional background screening processes and health and safety checks, which will be performed during the recruitment process. Experienced Software Engineer in Linköping
Axis Communications AB
Sweden, Linköping
What happens when experienced engineers get access to some of the latest agentic development tools, and the mandate to rethink how software is built? We're forming a new team at the Axis Linköping office to find out. If you're a skilled developer who's already pushing the boundaries of agentic engineering and want to do it full time with a team that shares that drive, this role is for you. Who is your future team? You'll be part of a newly formed team within R&D Software with a clear product mandate: building video management software for both cloud and on-prem use. What sets the team apart is both the freedom and expectation to continuously explore and push the boundaries of agentic software development as part of how you deliver. We believe developers who already know how to lead, delegate, and review are those who get the most out of agentic development tools. The team will have significant autonomy in choosing tools, workflows, and agent setups, and we expect every team member to contribute to shaping how we work, not just what we build. We expect team members to not just experiment, but to communicate their findings, the team's learnings should ripple out across the R&D organization. Your role As an Experienced Software Engineer, your job is twofold; deliver high-quality software and continuously push the boundaries of what's possible with agentic engineering. In practice, that means: Designing and building well structured, testable, and modular software across the full stack Using agents as a core part of your workflow from the start, not just for code completion, but as a starting point for design, implementation, and testing Evaluating and experimenting with new tools, prompting strategies, and agent architectures Actively communicating findings, failures, and breakthroughs to the wider R&D organization, through demos, write-ups, or lightning talks Taking end-to-end responsibility, from idea through development, testing, deployment, and maintenance You won't just write code, you'll orchestrate agents, review their output, and architect systems designed to be built and maintained with agentic tooling. Think of it as leading a team where some of your most productive colleagues are tireless, fast, and occasionally overconfident. Who are you? You are an experienced software engineer with a strong foundation in building production quality systems. You've already discovered that agentic coding tools make you significantly more productive, and you're eager to take that further in a team that shares that mindset. More specifically, we believe you have: Several years of professional experience in full stack software development (e.g. TypeScript, Go, Rust or a comparable modern stack) A track record of building software that is well structured, testable, and maintainable Hands on experience with agentic development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar The curiosity to challenge established ways of working and the discipline to measure results rather than follow habits A natural sharer, you instinctively write up what you learn, talk through findings with peers, and enjoy raising the bar for the people around you It's a bonus if you also have experience with: Video processing technologies such as GStreamer, FFmpeg, or WebRTC UX/UI design and implementation As a person, you are self driven and pragmatic. You form your own opinions but stay open to being proven wrong. You're more interested in measuring outcomes than following trends, and you're energized by building something new rather than maintaining the status quo. You don't keep insights to yourself, you get a kick out of explaining what you've figured out, writing it down, and seeing others run with it. What Axis has to offer This position is based in Linköping, primarily on-site at our office in Ebbepark. Our work environment fosters teamwork and innovation, with plenty of room for fun! Together, we enjoy activities like table tennis, Mario Kart, or a game of pickleball at Campushallen. We are looking forward to welcoming a new teammate to our growing team. Axis is a company that realizes the benefits of a diverse workforce. We know that diversity in groups creates a better working environment and promotes creativity, something that is fundamental for our success. Apply Now Submit your application today, including your CV. You are welcome to submit your application in Swedish or English. Executive Assistant to Group CEO – ITAB Group
Wise Group AB
Sweden, Jönköping
ITAB is on an exciting journey, strengthening its position as a leading retail solutions partner in Europe, accelerated by the HMY acquisition. As a solution provider, ITAB Group works side-by-side with retailers to drive sales growth, deepen consumer engagement, and enhance operational performance. Guided by our shared ambition “Co-creating retail experiences that connect people with brands they love,” we combine deep retail expertise, innovation, and collaboration to create meaningful and impactful retail environments. We are now looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support our incoming Group CEO, who assumes the role on 1 May 2026. This is a unique opportunity to take on a trusted role at the core of a global organization and play a key part in shaping executive ways of working. THE ROLE As Executive Assistant to the Group CEO, you work in close partnership with the CEO and are an integrated part of the Group Management context. The role goes beyond traditional administrative support. You help create structure and clarity that supports the management team to focus on their teams and the business. At times, you may travel with the CEO to support relationship‑building and gain deeper business understanding. Over time, you will build a broad internal network and become a natural go-to person, someone who understands the organisation, the stakeholders and the dynamics across functions and countries. This requires presence and a genuine interest in people and the business. Key responsibilities (scope will evolve with business needs) · Own the CEO’s agenda with access to the leadership team calendars to enable smooth alignment. · Manage and structure relevant parts of the CEO’s inbox. · Build and maintain a yearly calendar for leadership and executive forums, with well‑aligned meeting frequency, the right participants, and a structure where meetings build on each other. · Own the full meeting process for executive forums: agendas, logistics, materials, minutes/notes, action tracking and follow-up. · Prepare the CEO ahead of key forums by reviewing meeting material in advance, highlighting priorities, and supporting decision-making and dialogue. · Support communication flows between Group Management, Market Business Units and Group Functions, helping to establish clearer routines and timely information sharing. · Coordinate strategic planning cycles, selected change and development initiatives, and executive‑level interactions, including board‑related matters when relevant. · Plan and coordinate travel, internal conferences and leadership events (ranging from larger gatherings to recurring leadership activities). · Handle confidential information with the highest level of integrity and discretion. You are proactive, calm under pressure, and you naturally “stay one step ahead” while keeping a service-minded, pragmatic approach. We believe you have: · 5–10+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar senior administrative role supporting top leadership in an international, complex organisation (matrix experience is a plus). · Strong ability to create structure, drive effective leadership routines, and manage work with a high degree of confidentiality. · Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (no need to be a specialist, but you’re confident from day one and eager to learn). · Fluency in English, spoken and written (ITAB’s corporate language). Swedish is a plus but not a requirement. Additional European languages are an advantage. · Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience. Location & ways of working We prefer that you are based at ITAB’s head office in Jönköping, as on-site presence supports faster onboarding, stronger relationships and effective day-to-day support to the CEO and Group Management. That said, Stockholm is also available location for the right person. If based in Stockholm, the role will still require regular on-site presence in Jönköping and participation in key leadership forums as needed. WHY ITAB? This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape executive support and leadership routines in a global organisation with strong growth. ITAB helps retailers turn consumer brand experience into effective physical environments, combining design, shop fitting solutions, checkouts and retail technology, consumer flow solutions, lighting and digital in-store solutions.
